Lil' Fancy Kpants (The K is Silent) (ex machina), Sunday, 11 April 2004 21:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes. I think I cheated. I think everyone cheated.

oops (Oops), Sunday, 11 April 2004 21:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh my god, I think I have one of those Book It pins at my parents' house! I am going to find it and pin it onto my most ironic t-shirt and be the coolest person ever.
I'm sorry, I've had a few drinks.

kirsten (kirsten), Sunday, 11 April 2004 21:28 (twenty-two years ago)

"Wait, so just for reading books like I was going to do anyway, you're going to give me FREE PIZZA?!"

Jordan (Jordan), Sunday, 11 April 2004 21:32 (twenty-two years ago)

haha, I so need to find a BOOK IT pin for my trucker hat shirt. I had a book it pin that was one of those images that changed as you viewed it from a different angle

pizza party, that's the name of the game, something something something!!!

s1ocki (slutsky), Sunday, 11 April 2004 23:03 (twenty-two years ago)

i loved the pizza party game. i loved book it, but my parents hated it because everyone seemed to redeem their certificates at the same time. this meant 2hr waits at the pizza hut and having to give me lots of quarters for the jukebox to keep me occupied.

lauren (laurenp), Sunday, 11 April 2004 23:15 (twenty-two years ago)

did you ever play "my son the doctor"?

s1ocki (slutsky), Sunday, 11 April 2004 23:18 (twenty-two years ago)

stockholm cindy (Jody Beth Rosen), Sunday, 11 April 2004 23:45 (twenty-two years ago)

"Wait, so just for reading books like I was going to do anyway, you're going to give me FREE PIZZA?!"

*laughs* Jordan, I felt the same exact way. My recollections of the BOOK IT! program, BTW, were that before I got that certificate for free pizza, I needed to fill out a slip of paper with the book details -- title of book, author, plus a paragraph-long summary of the book. It was sorta like doing a book report, which I didn't really mind all that much. Still, I ended up with at least one "free pizza" certificate a week for a few years, which meant every Friday night I had pizza for dinner.

Hm. If I were hungrier, pizza would be a great thing to crave. Favorite Pizza Hut pizza of the moment, BTW -- the veggie lover's pizza on a thin crust. OMG. Sprinkle a little bit of red pepper on a slice and -- double OMG.

Many Coloured Halo (Dee the Lurker), Monday, 12 April 2004 04:51 (twenty-two years ago)

the pizza i had tonight was pretty disgusting, sadly

s1ocki (slutsky), Monday, 12 April 2004 04:56 (twenty-two years ago)

few things are more depressing than bad pizza. it makes me think of third grade lunch hour.

i think i owned that tmnt pizza party book!

J.D. (Justyn Dillingham), Monday, 12 April 2004 07:44 (twenty-two years ago)

my biggest worry about moving away from Chicago is that there won't be good pizza to be had elsewhere. then what the fuck will I do? corndogs can only do so much.

oops (Oops), Monday, 12 April 2004 08:03 (twenty-two years ago)

You're insane; Chicago pizza sucks ass

Lil' Fancy Kpants (The K is Silent) (ex machina), Monday, 12 April 2004 14:52 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Pizza Hut for all it has contributed to illiteracy.

christhamrin (christhamrin), Monday, 12 April 2004 14:55 (twenty-two years ago)
