I had med. brown hair and went for a darker brown hair dye. I left it on 20 mins because thats when my tester looked good. But now my hair is dry and it is too dark. It looks black. I have to get engagement pictures in less than 30 hours. How can I tone this? Get a little color instead of this black look? Thank You

If you're CAREFUL, you can try the following to lighten up the look:

1. Mix in a PLASTIC bowl, 3 tablespoons cornstarch
2. 6 tablespoons Chlorox
3. 1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice (diet Sprite can be substituted because it is LIMON)
4. And this is the important part for the subtle color effect, 4 tablespoons of Lipton Lemon iced tea.

Apply to the hair. After 20 to 25 minutes rinse out.

Voila. Fabulous.

I have a different brand of iced tea, is that okay?
