hey new yorkers, any of yous guys ever been to "Bushwick Heights"?

it's the area north of Knickerbocker Avenue and east of Flushing Avenue--basically, the Jefferson, DeKalb, and Myrtle stops on the L train.

i think this is the most offensive term i've heard in a long while...."east williamsburg" is already grating on my ears.

Oh swell... I live there.
We call it "Bushwick," cuz that' what our community board calls it, but cab drivers say, "No, no, this is Ridgewood!"
I guess Bushwick has the perhaps not undeserving connotations of a high crime area, and real estate fucks are trying to get people to live there.
It's pretty much the desolate, industrial area with cheap lofts and tenements that Williamsburg used to be, but adding "Heights" to it? Sheesh. There's no sign of middle-class-ness around as far as I can see.
