Sad and shocking.

Yeah agreed, deeply sad.

I remember her so well from BP. An uninspiring thing to say, but she really did seem like the nicest person.

RIP Caron.

"I feel like I've just lost part of my childhood"

Stacie Lithgow, Manchester

I can only really echo those thoughts. Man, this is creepy. RIP.

Whoah, I didn't even know she was ill. That's really sad.

Is Gloria Hunniford still alive?

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 14 April 2004 11:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Sad news indeed. She always seemed so genuinely pleasant.

I found out about the breast cancer when I dly was googling to find out exactly how Fern Britten got the This Morning gig (when the pair of Keating and Leslie would have made much more sense). Very sad. Especially considering her Blue Peter contemporaries are disgraced but unproven Leslie and Mark Curry who now lives for 18 hours a day on the Sky Travel channel.

Doesn't Mark Curry also host Catchphrase? He was the one that looked like the Mike Mills from REM, right?

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Wednesday, 14 April 2004 12:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Man, some memories are coming to me too. I had no idea she was dying and I am shocked and saddened. God go with her.

Poor Gloria (& Mr Gloria). Parents outliving their children is always rough.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Wednesday, 14 April 2004 12:23 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm quite shocked, i had no idea.

Sad news.

Crackity (Crackity Jones), Wednesday, 14 April 2004 17:25 (twenty-two years ago)

I always liked her. She had a highly personable presenting style - bright, refreshingly earnest, sometimes incredulous, but without any trace of that tedious tongue-in-cheek manner adopted by so many of her peers. And she was gorgeous.

Only 41..

Oh, poor lady. That is so sad
