And I don't mean my bowels. 350 miles in a 24' rental truck. Actually, U-Haul called me 18 hours before my pick-up time to tell me that the van that I had reserved was rented to somebody else, and that I had to drive to a town 110 miles away to get a replacement. AND THEY WERE RUDE ABOUT IT TO BOOT. So I made the customer rep. cry. She hung up on me twice! I finally got so pissed I "Asked for a Manager". Who, of course, wasn't there.
So add that to the travel miles. Probably ten days of packing in total, 2 days loading 7.5 hrs. driving 1.5 days un-loading, a very freaked out cat and several fights with the GF, but here I am. All up in this Boise shit. But so far it is fantastic.
My GF and I moved from North Carolina to Wyoming 11 years ago, taking only what would fit in the back of an Isuzu P/U truck.
I am, needless to say worn-the-fuck-OUT!

Conquer Boise for us all! But for now, sleep. There's an ILM feller who pops in from time to time who is a music crit in Boise, Michael Deeds.

I'm bumping this for an update. I was riding my bike around yesterday and stumbled across Built To Spill playing a free gig in a park. Not my favorite band but still...

Thanks Guys. I'll post a few snaps in a day or so. This is the best town I've ever been in.

You've certainly discovered the Record Exchange by now, I hope. (It's the best record store in Idaho. Well, it's practically the ONLY record store in Idaho, but it's a nice big great one)

Oh yeah, DB. We found the Record Exchange on our first trip to suss the place out. Nice choices, and the first day we went in they had a band called Earnest Orange(pretty good band)playing in the "curios" area. I was hooked, then and there.
