Mimmo Rotella is one of my new favourite artists, I hadn't heard of him before. He makes messy pop art collages, that have that nice torn down billboard poster feel to them...http://www.gutenbergpavillon.fh-mainz.de/mimmo/mimmo.html

This will be a happy place! That collage guy looks cool - do you have any more links?

I don't really have anything to gush about atm, though... I have a new favourite Go opening, does that count?

Gregory Henry (Gregory Henry), Saturday, 17 April 2004 11:38 (twenty-two years ago)

"Alexander Nevsky" is amazing!

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Saturday, 17 April 2004 21:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Deadwood, maybe -- watched the first episode once I finally got HBO On Demand fixed, will probably catch up tonight so I can watch tomorrow's episode.

Robin Hobb, a fantasy author I just started reading, surprisingly good considering how much my fantasy standards have been raised by GRR Martin, Pullman, and Keyes.

Sprite Berry Remix. Tropical Remix was crap. Berry Remix tastes like Clearly Canadian, only Spritey.

Upstairs, Downstairs.
I didn't pay proper attention to it when it came out and and now enjoying it via DVD. Yay!

Orbit (Orbit), Sunday, 18 April 2004 00:34 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm currently going through an interesting "I'm addicted to music" period at the moment, helped considerably by Franz Ferdinand and Gang of Four. Duran Duran? Well, I'll always love them, but I'm not listening to anything by them at the moment. Have actually rekindled my love of "Hungry Like the Wolf", after ten years of being burned out on it.

Many Coloured Halo (Dee the Lurker), Sunday, 18 April 2004 01:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Monday, 19 April 2004 11:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Getting through a crap paper about how 'Silent Running', despite it's eco-friendly talk, reinforces capitalism and the search for new frontiers, blah blah.

also, Joe Jackson.

My new favourite thing is my Moog simulator.

I think it was supposed to be a plug-in for Cubase, but it's soooo much fun to use hooked up to my MIDI keyboard that I haven't even really bothered with Cubase.

I spend most of the weekend lying on the floor going WUBWUBWUBWUBWUB and occasionally playing along on the Jazzmaster (my previous new favourite thing).

HSA went to the pub and left me playing with it, and when he came back, about four hours later, he found me still lying on the floor going WUBWUBWUBWUBWUB and asked "Have you been doing that the entire time?" Oh yes. I very much have.
