I know you've all started into the ice cream! I have some of that Ben and Jerry's stuff with the core of one thing and ice cream around it. So good.

BRB!

Lil' Fancy Kpants (The K is Silent) (ex machina), Saturday, 17 April 2004 23:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh god, my roomie ate it all but left his terrible EGG NOG ice cream he bought. I HATE YOU!!!!!!!!!

Lil' Fancy Kpants (The K is Silent) (ex machina), Saturday, 17 April 2004 23:24 (twenty-two years ago)

the new strawberry/graham-cracker ben&jerry's ice cream is like, soooo good

phil-two (phil-two), Saturday, 17 April 2004 23:29 (twenty-two years ago)

wow, it's about time they started importing ben & jerry's to Australia I think.

ipsofacto (ipsofacto), Saturday, 17 April 2004 23:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Phil-Two, that sounds amazing! Does it have chunks of fruit or is the strawberry smooth?

Lil' Fancy Kpants (The K is Silent) (ex machina), Saturday, 17 April 2004 23:33 (twenty-two years ago)

I went all retro last night and bought COFFEE HEATH BAR CRUNCH. A little of that goes a long way, luckily.

stockholm cindy (Jody Beth Rosen), Sunday, 18 April 2004 00:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh God, like, wow. Someone save me from this world.

Charles Dexter (Holey), Sunday, 18 April 2004 00:45 (twenty-two years ago)

*hands you the gun*

stockholm cindy (Jody Beth Rosen), Sunday, 18 April 2004 00:54 (twenty-two years ago)

its strawberry cheesecake ice cream with real strawberries and best of all: chunks of graham cracker crust! oh yum yum yum

phil-two (phil-two), Sunday, 18 April 2004 01:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Phil, I am so trying out that kind of ice cream.

Today, when I went to the supermarket, I got me some Dove bars. Yay!

Many Coloured Halo (Dee the Lurker), Sunday, 18 April 2004 01:48 (twenty-two years ago)

(Oh yeah, clarification -- the Dove ice cream bars, not the Dove soap bars. As much as I enjoy using Dove brand soap in the shower, I seriously doubt it would be palatable, let alone a good substitute for an ice cream treat.)

Many Coloured Halo (Dee the Lurker), Sunday, 18 April 2004 01:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I've got my very own ice-cream making machine! Home made ice cream is heavenly:)

C J (C J), Sunday, 18 April 2004 14:37 (twenty-two years ago)

There was Oatmeal Cookie Ben & Jerry's last year. I went through 5 or 6 pints (that sounds artificially hard) while I was in New England on vacation. Oh man... just thinking about it makes me tear up... excuse me...

stephen morris (stephen morris), Sunday, 18 April 2004 16:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I had rice pudding ice cream last night after drinking a lot of whiskey. It was actually quite nice.

Carey (Carey), Sunday, 18 April 2004 16:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Mmm. I must get some ice cream at Hans' after lunch now. DAMN YOU ALL. (not really)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 18 April 2004 16:32 (twenty-two years ago)

I've gone through a thing of Edy's (aka Dreyer's) Cookies-n-Cream last night, since the AC is broken and it's just hot enough outside to make it 90 degrees inside, but just cool enough outside that it doesn't warrant emegency maintenance response. Getting one of those 3/4 Oreos in the midst of a spoonful of ice cream is one of my favorite ice cream experiences, I think.

Favorite ice creams this year have been Moxie and Guinness, though. (Those are two separate flavors, but now that you mention it ...)

Tep (ktepi), Sunday, 18 April 2004 16:44 (twenty-two years ago)

I just bought some Haagen-Dazs Bananas Foster on J0hn M0unta1nG04ts' rec. It really is good. I wish it had a little more texture, though, like those B&J flavors mentioned upthread. I haven't seen that graham cracker/strawberry flavor or I'd be all over it!

Aaron A., Sunday, 18 April 2004 16:52 (twenty-two years ago)

It's been too cold for ice cream here!

Leee O'Gaddy (Leee), Sunday, 18 April 2004 17:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Thanks to everyone's pernicious influence on this thread, I had a wonderful chocolate/chocolate malt ice cream sundae with marshmellow topping at Hans' a little bit ago. MMMM.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 18 April 2004 18:05 (twenty-two years ago)

HOW DO YOU EAT ICE CREAM IN THE MORNING RAGGETT?

Leee O'Gaddy (Leee), Sunday, 18 April 2004 18:05 (twenty-two years ago)

I just had an early lunch before it! So ner.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 18 April 2004 18:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Dove soap taste bad.

The new Cornettos (love potion #1-6) have just reached #4, which means that along with the Magnum last year (one of their Seven Deadly Sins line-up), there have now been two (2) ice-creams in the last year which bring to the UK the exotic taste of Pistachio. This brings UK Pistachio ice-creams to an all-time total of two (2), to the best of my knowledge.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Sunday, 18 April 2004 20:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh yeah! They sell those yummy pistachio icecream bars at the pakistani cafeteria on Houston/Ave.A! So tasty!

phil-two (phil-two), Sunday, 18 April 2004 20:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Gingernut icecream with chunks of crystalised ginger and chunks of biscuit is yum.

isadora (isadora), Sunday, 18 April 2004 20:54 (twenty-two years ago)

the ginger ice cream at the chinatown ice cream factory on bayard is U & K

stockholm cindy (Jody Beth Rosen), Sunday, 18 April 2004 20:56 (twenty-two years ago)

When I was little I always used to get pistachio ice cream cones from the ice cream van outside Bishops Park*.

(*non-SW London residents may recognise Bishops Park from "The Omen" when the priest walks through it in the increasing tempest before being skewered)

Markelby (Mark C), Sunday, 18 April 2004 21:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I have very weird associations with pistachio ice cream, but getting some from a place in The Omen is now a goal of mine.

Tep (ktepi), Sunday, 18 April 2004 21:24 (twenty-two years ago)

it's 90 where you are tep?

s1ocki (slutsky), Sunday, 18 April 2004 21:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Only inside, just cause of ... weirdness of some kind. (The apartment retains/builds up a lot of heat, especially downstairs, and most especially in my office, where there are two large windows exactly where the afternoon sun strikes.) Outside it's been in low 80s.

Tep (ktepi), Sunday, 18 April 2004 21:58 (twenty-two years ago)

someone bring me some green tea ice cream?

Lil' Fancy Kpants (The K is Silent) (ex machina), Sunday, 18 April 2004 22:12 (twenty-two years ago)

mmmm, green tea ice cream.

I have a packet of mix-your-own green tea ice at home, just waiting to be made! Except the directions are in Japanese, and I'm not confident I won't turn it into a cake by mistake.

cis (cis), Sunday, 18 April 2004 23:21 (twenty-two years ago)

the frozen custard place by my house is open again, hurrah! Although the one way across town that's open all year long has a lovely key lime concrete with bits of graham cracker crust.
