When I first started using the internet, Bevnet was the most amazing thing in the world. I forgot all about it until recently, and it's not quite as exciting as it used to be. Still a valuable resource, though.

six months pass...
Bevnet blows with prescripted "reviews" and predictable products.

This guy keeps a live journal of all the weird soda, etc. he drinks.
Much more interesting, if of variable quality.

I love the cola rockism of This is not the kind of cola real cola drinkers care about - I know.

Like, genuinely. Should I become a COLA SNOB? What would I drink? Boylan Sugar Cane Cola?

Until then, consumers will be able to mix their own flavored versions of Sprite. The company is putting about 35,000 cold-drink barrels in convenience stores throughout the U.S. with flavor packets of grape, cherry and mixed berry that can be squeezed into soft drinks. The promotion, called Flavor Hits, will be available through March.

Like in that 'Pixel Juice' story! The 'SOLACE' one!

Coke without corn syrup (available around Passover or outside the US). It's the closest thing to the original Coke -- corn syrup covers up some of the sharper flavors -- and Coke created what we think of now as "cola flavor" (a flavor no one limits just to kola extract anymore, thanks to Coke's use of so many other flavorings in combination with it). Everything since is pretty much "Coke + X" or "Coke - Y."

That sounds good! I am pretty addicted to fizzy drinks at the moment, just cheap ones though, I'd like to get serious about it. What sort of place would I look in the UK? Should I start with the internet? Are there specialist shops?

Also reading that dude's journal has totally made me remember how awesome I found regional brand products when I was in the States, and how much I want to live there.
