Have an NT machine that has either 'forgotten' it has an additional drive, or forgotten it has a partition. Our techie people are mac heads - not got time to conduct a full on tender - just want a good, economical service. This need not be a company but someone who can fix our puter. Any suggestions?

does the machine recognise the drive? like if you go to the CMOS screen do you see the drive listed? (if not then might be a hardware problem or the wire has come loose or something)

I don'ty really understand your answer Ken, hence the question in the first place :-)

at start-up, there should be something that flashes up saying press F1/delete or something to enter the BIOS. in there, you can see what hard drives it thinks you have and ask it to detect hard drives and stuff. good luck.
