It Was A Very Good Era

I've not changed my opinion.

Wow, I was a lot funnier in 2001.

FSVO "funnier".

Why would he not count the last quarter of the century, that's kind of mean of Tom.

I say 1988 or so. obvious obvious reasons.

Ronan (Ronan), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 13:18 (twenty-two years ago)

I think Tom would have ruled out boring 'actually, I like where we are now' cop-out answers.

Dave B (daveb), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 13:27 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd visit the dinosaurs, then jesus time.

2000 years ago to save the cost of the cinema ticket for the Passion.

Um, ten years ago, to tell little me what next week's lotto numbers are and to remind him/me that no matter how much I/he wants to sleep in when it gets to high school, showing up is U&K.

1987, I'd convince Steve Guttenberg to do "Police Academy 5: Assignment Miami Beach", thus saving the franchise and making the world a better place.

CRW (CRW), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 19:52 (twenty-two years ago)

2002 so I could tell Dusty Baker to pull Felix/Worrell/Nen earlier!

Leee O'Gaddy (Leee), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 20:34 (twenty-two years ago)

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 20:46 (twenty-two years ago)

2000 years ago to save the cost of the cinema ticket for the Passion.

Yeah, but it would have been harder to see the action. Jesus was basically Lightning Bolt with less of a messiah complex.

Ha ha, I thought up my answer before reading the old thread, and it's not changed at all!

Especially after the Time Team special the other night, I'm still convinced that the Iron Age was the time to live. Enough technological advances to make existence not totally shite, but still enough quality of life to make it worthwhile.

(Except the Elizabethan era might have been pretty cool, but only to visit. I'd have been burned at the stake if I'd had to live there!)

Super-Kate (kate), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 09:09 (twenty-two years ago)

1977. XTC just gaining popularity, ELO hitting its peak, brown vinyl beanbags everywhere, NO MOBILE 'PHONES, flares galore, Doctor Who before it jumped the shark, four years of brand new Goodies episodes.
