Does anyone you know not seem to have many clothes? Do you see anyone who always seems to be wearing the same outfit?

MarkH (MarkH), Friday, 23 April 2004 07:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes. HSA. The man owns two pairs of trousers and about five shirts. Two jumpers. That's *IT*.

(Actually, he possibly owns more like ten t-shirts, because if he finds a t-shirt he likes, he buys two of them.)

I am utterly MYSTIFIED by this.

Yes, me. White or black button down shirt. Blue or black jeans. Repeat as necessary.

Smart move. I've gotten into the habit of doing this myself.

Elvis Telecom (Chris Barrus), Friday, 23 April 2004 07:57 (twenty-two years ago)

I do it with trousers, but I've got ... five "formal" pairs of trousers, plus I can't count how many pairs of jeans! I don't just find ONE SET of trousers and wear nothing else. I'd run out of laundry apart from anything else!

Super-Kate (kate), Friday, 23 April 2004 07:58 (twenty-two years ago)

2 * 5 * 2 = 20! That's 20 outfits!

And when you factor in the two pairs of Dunlop Volleys, that's 40 combinations!

before she met my Dad my Mum apparently dated someone who didn't have many clothes. My nan concluded that this was coz he'd been in prison.

MarkH (MarkH), Friday, 23 April 2004 08:11 (twenty-two years ago)

It's possible to own lots of clothes & yet still only wear a few choice outfits.

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 23 April 2004 08:15 (twenty-two years ago)

If all your tops go with all your trousers, you are lucky. I have to make a vague attempt at colour coordinating. I.E. wear blue tops with blue trousers and black tops with black trousers. Life is complicated!

Super-Kate (kate), Friday, 23 April 2004 08:17 (twenty-two years ago)

I am wearing the dreaded brown & black combo today, so I have no opinion!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 23 April 2004 08:18 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't mind brown and black. I try to avoid black and blue, though.

Super-Kate (kate), Friday, 23 April 2004 08:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Today I am wearing a black v neck jumper, denim skirt & brown boots.

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 23 April 2004 08:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Me. Black shirt, dark green/brown trousers. That's it.

When I put on my nice (and rarely worn) interview suit the other day, my wife told me that it made her realize how shit all the rest of my clothes are.

Tengo bastante grande un guardarropa, pero uso siempre la misma cosa.

A friend still regularly wears the same t-shirt he's had since primary school with a picture of a slam-dunking cartoon pig. Quality t-shirt, but he's 23 now.

The Huckle-Buck (Horace Mann), Friday, 23 April 2004 14:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Classic or dud - insulting each other's mothers in languages we don't understand?

dog latin (dog latin), Friday, 23 April 2004 14:16 (twenty-two years ago)

mi asno sigue siendo itchy. Realmente está.
