i think one of my classmates took an accounting pre-req through UofP before entering our program. probably it wasn't any worse than the one i took through bmcc online.

I saw an tv ad earlier today with a girl in pajamas that started out with "Did you know that millions of students are attending class every day - in their pajamas?!"

And I thought, "uh, yeah, I did know that. I'm always seeing undergrads attending classes in pajama pants" (<<<for some reason people who do this have always annoyed me, even though I have no good reason for it)

The pajama lady advertisement went on to say that one of the smartest things you could do is get an online degree. On the contrary, I have always thought that people who get online degrees are getting suckered, with an online degree being valued somewhere between a 2-year degree and a high school diploma. But I have nothing to back that up with.

Yeah I know J0rdan, but I still feel bad for thinking ill of these people. I mean, they just want to be comfortable. You know what I REALLY don't like, though? When they were pajama pants when it's fucking FREEZING outside! That just pushes my buttons.

btw are they still doing that a lot at Mizzou? I remember when I was there I saw someone just about everyday trudging off to class in big ol' pajama pants.

Whenever I see seemingly random capitalization like this, I wonder if some people think that you capitalize words when you verbally accent them.

To buy a degree is quite easy these days. Nevertheless most students just sit around in their usually boring local University classes, wasting money. Why would you do that? These days buying a degree is a matter of personal motivation. But why should you buy a degree? The main reason is the fact that buying a degree on1ine is going to save you time, a lot of time. Usually you have to verify your life experience and you instantly qualify. Even though that is not the main cause why people are buying life experience degree.

The actual reason why people buy a life experience degree is because they can not go to a institution in their surrounding area that offers the diploma program they are heading for: For example, if you live near a College which only offers renowned marketing degree, then this doesn't help you a bit if you're looking for a marketing degree. To attend classes you might have to travel long distances. Then it might be that the degree that you want is only offered by a institution which costs a fortune. So you have to leave your place, look for accommodation in the University's place and do all the other stuff involved costing you tons of cheeze.

If you buy a degree by verifying your life experience or work experience, you can find the right degree for you without ever having to leave your workplace and instead get all the documents like the diploma certificate with the University's legal verification and official seal certifying the degree chosen, the transcript, a cover letter, copies of the College's or University's official certificate of accreditation, the institutions postal prospectus approval and a few important things more.

Having a University degree is very important these days, and as always in life you should only stick with something you want.

Beware choosing to be something just because it was the only good degree your local institution offered. After all, you are only going to be good at your job if you like to do it. Thus, you have to get a degree that means something to
you. This used to be a task that could take you years.

My brother is just finishing up his master's in education from university of phoenix. Here in Ohio if you're a public school teacher, you HAVE to at least begin a master's program within five years. The degree only takes about two years (and an absolute shitload of paperwriting) total, so good on him. Whereas I on the other hand am three years into a far more physically draining "on site" MBA program and I won't be done for another two years and it fucking sucks. :(

senior year of high school, i had this really unlikable government/economics teacher who, as a way of proselytizing to us students about the incredible opportunities inherent with a free market, was always bragging about how well his shares of university of phoenix stock were doing!!! same guy who'd regularly come in to the grocery store i was spending evenings bagging at to buy a couple 32 oz. bud light bottles and avoid eye contact with me. a few years later, i read in the paper he'd got put on administrative leave for forcing a class to watch a tape he'd made of the daniel pearl beheading. but yeah, university of phoenix.

got trained in at new job this week. Trainer lady kept talkin bout her degree from u of phoenix. she was nice.

My aunt teaches some classes on the side for UPhoenix. I kind of get the sense they may not be the most academically rigorous institution.

i know a few people who did this. they were reasonably intelligent people. I have no idea why they did this though or if it has helped their careers. they seemed to have pretty good jobs to begin with, IMO.

i would love to teach at the university of phoenix! somewhat, anyway. i mean i would do it, for the money. it would be so in keeping with my b-average academic history of halfassed attempts at various degrees of moderate relevance from middle-to-low tier schools "of decent value for the tuition."

from what I've heard, 'teaching for the university of phoenix' would require about as much effort as posting to ilx when you're bored. if you don't have any guilt when it comes to supporting the institution, I imagine it's a pretty decent gig.
