Actually, wrestlers make very little use of their phalluses. (Phalli?) Though Rico seems to be trying to change that. He is not obviously any kind of philosopher, however.

the phallus isn't physical, it is the "idea" of masculine power. Therefore the action would not be physical at all, rather mental, symbolic and social, a battle over symbolic strength.

Did he really have one?* Wouldn't he be trying to take apart his opponent's ideology instead, to show where the binary assumptions underlying it were unsafe, where the contradictions lay?

Ha, "I'll whip your binary assumptions out from under you!" could be his battle cry.

*actual answer: of course, but I don't think it was an important or central point of his value.
