I hate pickled things!!!!

Aja (aja), Saturday, 24 April 2004 16:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I hate pickled things!!!!

Pickled herring is not high on my list though a pickled egg here and there can hit the spot but might be a bit odorous in the end.

Pinche Pendejo (Pinche Pendejo), Saturday, 24 April 2004 16:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Branston>>>>everything evah.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Saturday, 24 April 2004 16:18 (twenty-two years ago)

What is that?? A brand of pickle?

Aja (aja), Saturday, 24 April 2004 16:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Branstons pickle. It's great with cheddar and ham, but pretty much good on anything.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Saturday, 24 April 2004 16:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh lord!!! I'll eat some pizza. Or that chicken and noodles. But no pickles.

OMG!! Pickles in the fidge!!!

Aja (aja), Saturday, 24 April 2004 16:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Prefer Indian pickles & kim chee, thanks so much

J0hn Darn1elle (J0hn Darn1elle), Saturday, 24 April 2004 16:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Very cold pickles and cheddar is great.
Pickled green mango and salted shrimp with tomato and onion doused with lemon juice makes a great salad.

Pinche Pendejo (Pinche Pendejo), Saturday, 24 April 2004 16:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Ohh!! Kim chee!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Here you go dad. You can have it.

Aja (aja), Saturday, 24 April 2004 16:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Cold kimchee and hot rice is actually a good combination. Oddly enough, when I was in Korea a while back I did not eat any kimchee at all.

Pinche Pendejo (Pinche Pendejo), Saturday, 24 April 2004 16:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Why not?

Aja (aja), Saturday, 24 April 2004 16:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Don't know why, really. I had some hot dogs, a few burgers, some horrible Russian fried chicken... some great borscht...there are a lot of Russians in Pusan...
I also had a pizza and some gyozas but like I said... no kimchee.. funny

Pinche Pendejo (Pinche Pendejo), Saturday, 24 April 2004 16:40 (twenty-two years ago)

I love pickled things, it's agreat tradition in sad decline with the rise of modern contraptions like refrigerators.

SOme favorite pickled things

onions
herrings
chutney
lemons
chillis
cucumbers, gherkins, etc. etc especially really salty hamisha cucumber
and cornichons
capers
kim chi
saurkraut
anything really, apart from eggs

Ed (dali), Saturday, 24 April 2004 17:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Gherkins also rule. Steak+kidney pie+chips+pickled gherkin = culinary heaven.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Saturday, 24 April 2004 17:35 (twenty-two years ago)

o.....m......G!!!!!

Aja (aja), Saturday, 24 April 2004 17:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Pickles are classic. Even people on macrobiotic diets have their own pickled foods.

Rockist Scientist, Saturday, 24 April 2004 17:40 (twenty-two years ago)

make that a steak and kidney pudding and I'm there

Ed (dali), Saturday, 24 April 2004 17:41 (twenty-two years ago)

I love Pickles. I love when the grandfather says something completely clueless to the grandmother, or when the dog gives a slightly befuddled look, or when the little boy's given bizarre questions to his answers. Pickles is one of my favorite comic strips.
