I tried the blue raspberry today. The jury's still out. I don't think the price is justified. Anyway this seems to be a substantially different drink than your regular smoothie. It's totally, er, well, smooth and lacking in chunks - which are a big part of the appeal of the smoothie proper - in both their oral sensation and in the joy of discovering them in the midst of smoothie, deciding whether to vacuum them through the straw, tackle afterwards with a spoon or what, etc. As well, the use of yogurt and whatever other Yogen Fruz materials are used lends an altogether different flavour and texture to the Smoothy Fruz, more sour for one thing. I'm willing to acknowledge that this may be a unique and distinctive beverage that needs time to be appreciated on its own terms.
