I've fancied someone with the same name as me before, that was fine and not very confusing but I've just started to think - what if I fall for someone called Hannah!(my sisters name), I think I'd find it very odd. And worse my parents names.
But I guess I have more pressing concerns.

I have had things with a few women as the same name as one of one of my sister's, and I've fancied one with the same name as the other. It's not a terrifically big deal. The thought obviously occurred to me, but I really don't think there was anything dodge going on.

My boyfriend has the same name as my brother, my dad, and my grand- and great-grandfathers. He goes by his middle name (because his dad has the same first name and there was confusion) but I don't think it would bother me at all if he didn't. It's just a name.

My father's name is quite common in Mexico but not so much here in the States, so frankly I'd get kinda weirded out if I met someone I fancied with that same name, wonder if my tastes in guys were changing drastically or something.

I do have a cousin who shares my father's first name, but that's not an act of coincidence as he was named after my dad, so there.

Well, I've never dated an Alan (which is my father's name) and I don't live in Scotland so I never meet anyone named Hamish, let alone date them.

My ex-roommate in NYC (who some FAPpers have met) - her mother and father had exactly the same names as my mother and father, which was a bit weird. But that's it as far as naming coincidences.

i would be shocked if i met a guy named Cullen who wasn't my brother. and haven't ever been romantically involved with a Doug, even though i did have a bit of a flirt with one at a work conference...it didn't really seem weird.

it was more weird that when he answered his phone by saying his last name in a really 'smooth' way. ick.

I suppose I'm unlikely to be romantically involved with a woman called Lyn, which is my sister's name, but Lynn or Lynne, the more common spellings are possibilities I suppose, although I can't recall meeting anyone with those names since school. My mother's name is Pamela. I've met a couple of nice Pamelas but wasn't romantically involved with either of them.
