Begs2Differ (Begs2Differ), Monday, 26 April 2004 19:16 (twenty-two years ago)

better than James Spader, not that that's saying much.

hstencil, Monday, 26 April 2004 19:16 (twenty-two years ago)

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

gabbneb (gabbneb), Monday, 26 April 2004 19:17 (twenty-two years ago)

better than James Spader, not that that's saying much.

Utter blasphemy.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 26 April 2004 19:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I knew that'd be controversial. Still, I can't stand James Spader.

hstencil, Monday, 26 April 2004 19:21 (twenty-two years ago)

James Spader >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Andrew McCarthy

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Monday, 26 April 2004 19:25 (twenty-two years ago)

just as Napoleon had his Waterloo, Spader has his Crash.

hstencil, Monday, 26 April 2004 19:26 (twenty-two years ago)

James Spader >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Andrew McCarthy

eww

gabbneb (gabbneb), Monday, 26 April 2004 19:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Spader rules, McCarthy drools

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Monday, 26 April 2004 19:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Exactly.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 26 April 2004 19:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Class.

holojames (holojames), Monday, 26 April 2004 20:38 (twenty-two years ago)

A girl I knew at university was keen on him. She led me on by lying top to tail in my bed and saying I kept doing 'an Andrew McCarthy mouth'.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 26 April 2004 20:46 (twenty-two years ago)

That's disgusting.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 26 April 2004 20:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Stripey to thread! About Spader that is.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 26 April 2004 20:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I know it's disgusting. I'm not proud of it.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 26 April 2004 20:47 (twenty-two years ago)

http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/8762/pg/two/three.txt

One is so superior to the other that the issue is entirely laughable.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 26 April 2004 20:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Andrew McCarthy was rather more erudite than most of his brat-pack buddies, as I recall. After his matinee idol star had waned he turned up in a Simon Gray play on BBC. I quite enjoyed it.

I like him, but not as much as James Spader, maybe. All the others are revolting.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 26 April 2004 20:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Andrew McCarthy's characters in Pretty in Pink and St. Elmo's Fire were both so irritating that it made me hate him as an actor. He also had these weird facial expressions.

Also, I remember watching cable late at night one night and he was in the most wretched serial killer movie with Patsy Kensit (as a detective!). That just goes beyond the pale.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 26 April 2004 20:54 (twenty-two years ago)

all this McCarthy/Spader hoopla... let's bring them together, people:

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Monday, 26 April 2004 20:57 (twenty-two years ago)

I think it was the weird facial expressions that the girl at university liked.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 26 April 2004 20:58 (twenty-two years ago)

All Andrew McCarthy facial expressions are vile.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 26 April 2004 20:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Destroy: The episode of Law & Order SVU with McCarthy as the businessman who sexually dominates and abuses his live-in housekeeper.

martin m. (mushrush), Monday, 26 April 2004 21:01 (twenty-two years ago)

You see - James Spader just copied him!

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 26 April 2004 21:03 (twenty-two years ago)

I saw Andrew McCarthy on a subway train once. He was short and a bad dresser.

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Monday, 26 April 2004 23:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I find that endearing.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 26 April 2004 23:06 (twenty-two years ago)

You would.

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Monday, 26 April 2004 23:39 (twenty-two years ago)
