What is the name of the movie starring Redford and Jane Fonda about a cattle rancher woman fighting the oil company and was it based on a true person?

Robbie, you've only been here a couple of weeks and you're already telling people off. YOU are the most curmudgeonly man on ILX.

I have a real irrational dislike of Robert Redford. I won't watch anything with him in. I discovered by chance that my Mum has the exact same thing.

Cathy (Cathy), Monday, 26 April 2004 17:11 (twenty-two years ago)

all the president's men, the sting and sneakers are all films I can watch again and again. even though I haven't seen them, in a little while.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 26 April 2004 17:43 (twenty-two years ago)

and don't forget BC & SDK!

The Huckle-Buck (Horace Mann), Monday, 26 April 2004 17:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I have never actually seen that one, except for the bits.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 26 April 2004 17:48 (twenty-two years ago)

I like Paul Newman. I'll watch just about anything with Paul Newman. I love his eyes.

The Huckle-Buck (Horace Mann), Monday, 26 April 2004 17:50 (twenty-two years ago)

cool hand luke, the sting and the hudsucker proxy are all films I can watch again and again. even though I haven't seen them, in a little while.

What was that movie he made about Housing and Urban Development?

Michael White (Hereward), Monday, 26 April 2004 18:02 (twenty-two years ago)

HUD?

The Huckle-Buck (Horace Mann), Monday, 26 April 2004 18:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Patricia Neal. Mmmmmmmmm.

Michael White (Hereward), Monday, 26 April 2004 18:12 (twenty-two years ago)

I have pasta sauce made by Paul Newman. It's got a picture of his face on, and it's kind of great.

RJG, I've not seen any of those. Maybe I should try Robert Redford more.

All the president's men is brilliant (and HEY! i ain't curmudgeonly, just my own performance laziness means that i am appalled by another persons).

Looks like Marc Price (of Family Ties) on the left, but it doesn't seem to match anything on his resume

Josefa, Tuesday, 2 August 2016 14:58 (nine years ago)

pretty sure that's eric stoltz and ralph macchio but i can't find a movie they did together

skippy! theres an actor/character ive not thought of in a long time

johnny crunch, Tuesday, 2 August 2016 15:21 (nine years ago)

Was this the original aborted version of Back to the Future with Stoltz in the Michael J. Fox role?

Josefa, Tuesday, 2 August 2016 15:22 (nine years ago)

It doesn't look like The Wild Life and Stoltz looks pretty different in the BTTF pics I looked up. Not sure that's even him in the pic. Thanks for the help though. Will get to the bottom of this.

circa1916, Tuesday, 2 August 2016 15:26 (nine years ago)

Whoever that actor is he looks like some Stoltz/Craig Sheffer/Anthony Michael Hall amalgam. And the actress looks just enough like Hilary Swank to be clearly not her.

I have the Wild Life soundtrack. I found it on the street. It is very strange.

Οὖτις, Tuesday, 2 August 2016 17:38 (nine years ago)

like, Eddie Van Halen and Jagger/Richards/Woods are on it in random configurations

Οὖτις, Tuesday, 2 August 2016 17:40 (nine years ago)

anyway yeah that's not Stoltz

I have no idea what the movie is but am curious

Οὖτις, Tuesday, 2 August 2016 17:40 (nine years ago)

I'm gonna venture that neither Stolz nor Macchio are in that picture.

I'm being told that screenshot is from The Rescue (1988).

circa1916, Tuesday, 2 August 2016 18:36 (nine years ago)

Is that Anthony Rapp?

thrill of transgressin (Eazy), Tuesday, 2 August 2016 18:38 (nine years ago)

The Rescue is a 1988 adventure film about a group of teenagers who infiltrate a North Korean prison to rescue their Navy SEAL fathers

salthigh, Tuesday, 2 August 2016 18:40 (nine years ago)

Marc Price hint shoulda wrapped this up sooner, but I glossed over that one in his filmography thinking this was more Teen Movie than Red Dawn knockoff.
