Am I the only one who doesn't shave in times of heavy academic workload?

I hadn't hardly left the house for a week until today and I came in and was greeted by "god you've let yourself go".

I think it's part of my study routine. I wish I had had teachers who advised classes not to shave coming up to exams.

there is mould on the tea in the cup on the dresser.

a hazard of lps scattered all over the floor.

some scheme, decipherable by me alone, of papers hiding my desk.

not to mention the gang of empty cd boxes on top of the stereo or the six pairs of trainers clogging up the floor, next to the only-3/4/5-days-worn clothes. my 'wearable' pile.

Haha, yes. When I stayed up for over 24 hours writing papers I would never shave, sort of as a badge of academic martyrdom. I felt that my outside condition should reflect the delirious haze of my tired brain.

I usually never shave on the weekends, as they are my "days off." Then when I shave on Mon morning, I feel all professional and ready to get back to work.

when i was in school, i didn't shave when studying for exams. it became something of a superstition.
