To replace the spanish...

"Britain has been under pressure to increase its military presence in the wake of the pullout of previous coalition troops, especially the Spanish. But a government source said: "The senior British military are strongly opposed to taking over the Spanish areas of command or sending further troops."

Should the British send more troops *into* Iraq?

I wasn't just addressing Iraq, to be clear.

Nah, just send more 'mericans. We have plenty.

I don't think there are many more troops to send. There are troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Cyprus, the Falklands, and who knows where else, plus those being rotated in and out of these areas. Short of calling up reservists or taking troops off ceremonial duties, you'd be hard pressed to find that many more to send. Good.

Eh, the Falklands...

Pretty large Garrisson on the Falklands since 1982

No, please. I am tired of the solution being more troops. It ISN'T.
More troops are not going to solve this. Someone said (from the U.N.?) that a political solution is needed. I agree. PUBLIC RELATIONS is needed in Iraq. Not more troops.

I believe he has retired. Just as well as he obviously hasn't got a penis.
