I used to have a similar glitch on the mac at my old workplace. But it woulddrop letters from the end of my ILX posts rather than add them. Perhaps they have ended up on Alex's machine.

N. (nickdastoor), Thursday, 29 April 2004 14:08 (twenty-two years ago)

perhaps if we read them in the order alex posted them, they spell out an important message

(as in "help me i am trapped under alex's keyboard and can only tap out my urgent plea for release one letter at a time!!!")

Who was it that used to get pxrn websites on the end of his posts? (not here on ILX tho).

One weird virus, that one. g

I knew a kid who used to something like this. He didn't quite have a stutter, but he'd always repeat the last syllable of the sentence, like this.is So even though I'm sure Alex has some sort of entertaing New York accent, this is how I picture him ending his sentences now. ow. It's funny. ee

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Thursday, 29 April 2004 16:18 (twenty-two years ago)

I like to imagine them as exasperated monosyllabic exclamations. â€

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 29 April 2004 18:28 (twenty-two years ago)

we should run an ILX sweepstake. See if we can guess what will be at the end of the next post by Alex In NYC.

Rock Bastard, Thursday, 29 April 2004 18:48 (twenty-two years ago)

`Tis a mystery6

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Thursday, 29 April 2004 18:53 (twenty-two years ago)

TS: mystery6 vs Electric Six

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 29 April 2004 20:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Um, pretty much anything beats Electric Six, even random gibberish.

NA (Nick A.), Thursday, 29 April 2004 20:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Whenever I read his posts, I end with that glitch and automatically interpret it in my inner voice as a hiccup - 'hic'. It's as if he's always drunk.&p

the music mole (colin s barrow), Thursday, 29 April 2004 20:21 (twenty-two years ago)

What's that Laurel & Hardy film where Stan has a loose tooth and whistles at the end of every sentence? There's a Peter Ustinov anecdote (about Ralph Richardson?) like this too. Oh, and Victor Borge with his punctuation sounds.

In a very grand comic tradition then. #

Michael Jones (MichaelJ), Thursday, 29 April 2004 22:03 (twenty-two years ago)

It's quite impressive to have a catchphrase that permanently changes. c

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 29 April 2004 22:06 (twenty-two years ago)
