i'm thinking about getting another one! (i lost mine)

s1ocki (slutsky), Sunday, 2 May 2004 01:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Classic. The only jacket I wore in New Orleans, where nothing else is practical: denim breathes, but you can wear it in (light to moderate) rain or hurricanes, and as long as it's not much below the 40s, you're warm enough.

Which side of that line to you want to be on??

You'd be the hottest dude around in 1983 ;)

don (don), Sunday, 2 May 2004 01:53 (twenty-two years ago)

i think it looks g ood on me, but i might look "cooler" than i actually am, which could cause problems down the road

amateur!st (amateurist), Sunday, 2 May 2004 20:38 (twenty-two years ago)

CAss (CAss), Sunday, 2 May 2004 20:41 (twenty-two years ago)

s1ocki (slutsky), Sunday, 2 May 2004 21:34 (twenty-two years ago)

amateur!st (amateurist), Sunday, 2 May 2004 21:42 (twenty-two years ago)

s1ocki (slutsky), Sunday, 2 May 2004 23:02 (twenty-two years ago)

All points are moot as you can no longer purchase one anyway.

Good look at the thrift shops!

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Monday, 3 May 2004 01:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Um, LUCK, obv. I'll go to bed now.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Monday, 3 May 2004 01:46 (twenty-two years ago)

jean jacket and tie, feel like such a lie.

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 3 May 2004 02:03 (twenty-two years ago)

I once owned a white jean jacket and white denims. I looked like a 90s era Buzzcocks reject. I blame the 80s and dumbheaded teenagehood.

Trayce (trayce), Monday, 3 May 2004 02:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Absolutely must be Levis. Other brands, and well, it's definitely Loverboy.

Skottie, Monday, 3 May 2004 02:27 (twenty-two years ago)

utter nonsense

Nellie (nellskies), Monday, 3 May 2004 04:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Wrangler >>> Levi

Sick Nouthall (Nick Southall), Monday, 3 May 2004 06:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't believe these came back in style; what is wrong with people!? Don't think I didn't notice that at least two people at the NYFAP wore them, because I did.

Dan I. (Dan I.), Monday, 3 May 2004 06:22 (twenty-two years ago)

h&m is where mine came from, is that acceptable?

amateur!st (amateurist), Monday, 3 May 2004 07:04 (twenty-two years ago)

HAHA.

Sick Nouthall (Nick Southall), Monday, 3 May 2004 08:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Mine too. Amateurist, let's duff up Southall.

Markelby (Mark C), Monday, 3 May 2004 11:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Jean jackets are okay, they last pretty well, though mine is quite frayed now. I have no intention of replacing it.

jel -- (jel), Monday, 3 May 2004 11:32 (twenty-two years ago)

i just bought a black levis jacket for 5 bucks at a yard sale. i'm totally loving it. it's perfect for the spring!

AaronK (AaronK), Monday, 3 May 2004 12:17 (twenty-two years ago)

h&m rules dude!

s1ocki (slutsky), Monday, 3 May 2004 14:16 (twenty-two years ago)

High ten!

Markelby (Mark C), Monday, 3 May 2004 14:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Is there no H&M in the States?

Skottie, Monday, 3 May 2004 14:53 (twenty-two years ago)

I bought some really horrible jeans in H&M once.

jel -- (jel), Monday, 3 May 2004 14:54 (twenty-two years ago)

I saw a Zara was going in on the 3rd St. Promenade in Santa Monica the other day. That's the first of those I've noticed in the U.S. Kind of the Banana Republic to H&M's Gap (or Old Navy, even). Except unrelated as far as I know.

Skottie, Monday, 3 May 2004 14:55 (twenty-two years ago)

H&M is in NYC, Chicago and prolly LA and SF now too.

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 3 May 2004 14:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Zara's been in NYC for a while, too.

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 3 May 2004 14:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Is H&M doing any advertising in NYC? How are they positioning themselves?

Skottie, Monday, 3 May 2004 15:02 (twenty-two years ago)

they're huge here. I think they've done very well, and their advertisements are everywhere.

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 3 May 2004 15:04 (twenty-two years ago)

there's a zara in mtl & hopefully an h&m soon too! toronto has a couple h&ms out in the mall zones

s1ocki (slutsky), Monday, 3 May 2004 15:23 (twenty-two years ago)

H&M has 56 stores in the USA, all but 2* are in the Northeast.

*Chicago.

gygax! (gygax!), Monday, 3 May 2004 15:39 (twenty-two years ago)

smoove, de'nimes.

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 3 May 2004 15:40 (twenty-two years ago)

zara's been in nyc for ages, i think. the ones in the u.k. are much better, though.

lauren (laurenp), Monday, 3 May 2004 15:44 (twenty-two years ago)

I've only been to a Zara in Barcelona, it was nice.

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 3 May 2004 15:48 (twenty-two years ago)
