i only dimly remembered that the 3 gang leaders executed in a range rover in rettendon were connected to the leah betts case, via basildon nightclubs etc, but, it has cropped up again 2 or 3 times in the last month or so, and it seems almost everyone involved, even tangientally seems to have a book out (o'mahoney, thompson, the primary ones).

has anyone read any of these books, and are they any good? exposes of this kind often tend to be luridly bland, but this seems possibly a more intriguing web

Didn't one of them work on the door at Raquels in Basildon? Many parsecs ago, I frequented asid establishment. I once saw the bouncer grab a bloke with long hair and throw him down the stairs. He had a massive lump on his head too. The doormen were just laughing. This is the same club where Leah Betts died.

I miss it a little.
