is it humanly possible? is it a secret joke?

stevem (blueski), Friday, 14 May 2004 11:06 (twenty-two years ago)

No matter how much I post I'm always below someone called "monkeyjuggler x" or something like that.

dog latin (dog latin), Friday, 14 May 2004 11:11 (twenty-two years ago)

each of your posts is twice as meaningful and twice as relevant and twice as useful and twice as intelligent and twice as funny and twice as nice as anything I ever post.

RJG (RJG), Friday, 14 May 2004 11:11 (twenty-two years ago)

monkeyjuggler dog latin? monkey fucking juggler????

steve try popping up on almost every thread and posting things like

*astonishing*

mullygrubber (gaz), Friday, 14 May 2004 11:17 (twenty-two years ago)

ned is a flamer.

ho-ho, Friday, 14 May 2004 11:17 (twenty-two years ago)

heavens!

robster (robster), Friday, 14 May 2004 11:18 (twenty-two years ago)

The thing is -- he does it on ile AND ilm. Far, far ahead of everyone else.

But yeah, he does post really short, simple answers on most threads.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Friday, 14 May 2004 11:26 (twenty-two years ago)

i don't see his posts THAT much though, which makes me think the statsc0ck lies like a lazy harlot. but then i guess i only read one in five threads or something.

stevem (blueski), Friday, 14 May 2004 11:42 (twenty-two years ago)

well i thort at first it might be something to do with the cache of user stats on the server, so i did a quick check and you've got 1584 posts in last 30 days, so that's partially the fault. However Ned = 3249 in last 30 days!

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Friday, 14 May 2004 11:53 (twenty-two years ago)

thats only a little more than a hundred a day stevem...you can DO it!

mullygrubber (gaz), Friday, 14 May 2004 11:55 (twenty-two years ago)

he's padding the stats w/BBC links :)

Morley Timmons (Donna Brown), Friday, 14 May 2004 11:56 (twenty-two years ago)

*astonishing*

C J (C J), Friday, 14 May 2004 11:59 (twenty-two years ago)

You don't work in a library, stevem.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Friday, 14 May 2004 12:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Steve, you're not posting "quite so" and "hmmmmm" and "now there is glory" enough.

I contend that the statscock is actually rigged - I often find myself thinking "where's Mary these days? I wish she posted more" and then realising that she's like 5th or 6th on the chart. We must look at totally different threads from each other.

I long for the days when I was permanently at No. 35 in the chart. I don't like being in the Top 10.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Friday, 14 May 2004 12:00 (twenty-two years ago)

And WTF how is Strongo at No. 25 when he's posted hundreds of messages a day recently?!

Matt DC (Matt DC), Friday, 14 May 2004 12:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I have dropped to 38, woo!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 14 May 2004 12:01 (twenty-two years ago)

El Diablo, being very VERY wise and thoughtful, has cut to the heart of the matter.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 14 May 2004 12:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Ned, posting on this thread is cheating.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Friday, 14 May 2004 12:03 (twenty-two years ago)

I MOCK YOUR PETTY COMPLAINTS.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 14 May 2004 12:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Also, who wants graphs? I have a new weapon in the war against not-enough-graphs. I call it scalable vector graphics!!!!!

ok it's not new, but i want to play with it some more.

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Friday, 14 May 2004 12:04 (twenty-two years ago)

i work in a library Ned. and i am only at 22.

mullygrubber (gaz), Friday, 14 May 2004 12:08 (twenty-two years ago)

PUT A GRAPH AND A PIE CHART ON EVERY THREAD! MAKE IT LOOK LIKE WORK!

Matt DC (Matt DC), Friday, 14 May 2004 12:09 (twenty-two years ago)

i have fears

stevem (blueski), Friday, 14 May 2004 12:14 (twenty-two years ago)

and yeh Matt DC otm. how did Mary suddenly shoot back up the hit parade? must be all the Morrissy banter...

stevem (blueski), Friday, 14 May 2004 12:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Try and find a thread that Ned hasn't posted on. It's hard! Even if his only post is of the: "I have absolutely no interest in what you are talking about, but its all very interesting, carry on!" variety. His serial niceness must be stopped!

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 14 May 2004 12:40 (twenty-two years ago)

I could be mean and evil I suppose. But that seems unfun.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 14 May 2004 13:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Stevem, have you tried using both hands when you type? It's a new technique that I recently stumbled upon.

NA (Nick A.), Friday, 14 May 2004 13:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Ned, I figure you get out all your aggression when people start duplicate threads. That's when we get to see EvilNed.

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 14 May 2004 13:07 (twenty-two years ago)

It's part of it. There are other instances.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 14 May 2004 13:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Ned, I am gaining on you. Your kingdom shall yet crumble.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Friday, 14 May 2004 13:10 (twenty-two years ago)

You rapscallion, you Streets-lover, I'll take none of your slippery backtalk from thee, you varletish drum-pounder. FORSOOTH!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 14 May 2004 13:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Getting mean(ish)! Ooh! That means you're slipping in your old age, you ACR-loving Californian hippie! What's that sound? It's your fortress crubling to the dulcet sounds of "Weak Become Heroes."

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Friday, 14 May 2004 13:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Careful, all Ned has to do is pick up that special phone and the Smashing Pumpkins Army will do his bidding.

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 14 May 2004 13:21 (twenty-two years ago)

(they are much more reliable than the Morrissey and Cure Armies cuz they have a lot more time on their hands.)

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 14 May 2004 13:21 (twenty-two years ago)

no one wants that, do they? *allows Ned's fortress to stand

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Friday, 14 May 2004 13:23 (twenty-two years ago)

I am glad the implicit threat was enough to make you understand. The SP Army is relaxed, rested and ready...we sorta have to be.

your fortress crubling

I like the idea of something 'crubling,' it sounds like something you do for a recipe or for some weird obscure medieval death dance ritual.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 14 May 2004 13:24 (twenty-two years ago)

I'll cruble you next time, Raggett. Next time.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Friday, 14 May 2004 13:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh I'm sure yes no doubt uh-huh unquestionably yeppers skeppers can't see otherwise.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 14 May 2004 13:27 (twenty-two years ago)
