I like the attention to detail, though.

Police said Perala took off his shirt and put on safety glasses before throwing around computers, phones and other items.

I just destroyed the place ... I kind of regret that I did it, but I hope my message got across."

ned's obviously not familiar w/ the ways and work-habits of the average verizon employee.

those of us unfortunate enough to live where verizon is the local phone company TOTALLY understand, however.

Communication should be simple. That's all. But Jesus H. Christ if I have to hear James Earl Jones "Welcome to Verizon" one more time, I think I shall act likewise.

two years pass...
My DSL has been down for a few days. I finally called today. Apparently Verizon sent me an e-mail telling me that my credit card information was not up to date, and when I did not respond, they cut off service.

I never saw any e-mail like that. Given the importance of the matter at hand, they couldn't call or send me something in the mail as well? All the annoying telemarketing calls I used to get from them, all the crap they constantly send me in the mail, and they couldn't figure out a way to get in touch with me?

Not only that, but I have no record that I ever even paid for my DSL with my credit card.

They cannot do anything for me until tomorrow, because the billing department is not open.

So I've switched back to Earthlink and am investigating alternative local phone carriers. The only reason I was doing everything through Verizon was to simplify things for me, but obviously that was not the outcome.

thirteen years pass...

I was subjected to this landline ripoff service call today, and apparently there's not a damn thing to do about it.
