I always figured it was cause watermelons are more expensive than oranges/lemons and people wouldn't be willing to pay the price. cause I mean, this does exist in stores, it's just a little expensive.

tracer last summer i used some extra melon to make a salad with cucumber mint & dill, topped it with some greek yogurt, A+ would reccomend

Or just blend some watermelon with a tiny bit of water, a touch of lime juice, and sugar to taste.
I considered making agua fresca from some cacti I picked up (tuna cactus), but the seeds were so prevalent, tough and nasty tasting I didn't know what to do with them. I'll stick to watermelon next time.

when I buy a watermelon I don't cut it into slices - I cut it in half, and then scoop out the watermelon in chunks and keep it in big bowls. whenever you finish a bowl, there's a big pool of watermelon juice at the bottom. also when you're done scooping out the watermelon there's also a lot of juice left over. best thing ever!
