Christian rock singer feels 'sad' for Britney

It says here. Further highlights:

In the 'hmmm' section:

The singer, who has won a Grammy for "Best Christian Rock Album," made her vow to spurn pre-marital sex at 16 and says she now makes sure she avoids temptation -- even her band are five single men committed to abstaining from pre-marital sex.

In the 'foreign relations are our speciality' section:

"I've got a lot of mainstream media attention even in countries like Norway that are not known necessarily for their morality. It's such a counter-culture message they are fascinated about it."

(Does St. James think everyone in Norway is in a black metal band or something?)

I was hoping this was going to be Amy Lee.

Also, I've just searched for her name in the top four Norwegian online newspapers, and come up with nothing... "A lot of mainstream media attention"? Hrm.

I suspect she lives in an unusual bubble (or else figures that any spin is good spin).

Funny that the article features a picture of Britney but not St. James...

She's not bad-looking, though. A horrible dresser, if I remember correvtly, but not bad-looking.

maybe geir can bust a move on her when she reaches norway.

Eisbär (llamasfur), Sunday, 16 May 2004 17:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I just got a really fucking disturbing feeling that "Geir" just might be pronounced "Yair."

I've never met a 26 year old virgin before. I did meet a girl who couldn't ride a bike once though. that was kinda weird.

Ick, Rebecca St. James is so offputting.

Back in my church youth group days (vomit), I actually saw her perform and she went through the same spiel with moments of grandstanding throughout. And then at the end she proclaimed to everyone in the audience that if we owned a cd that would be offensive to the Lord that we should throw it in the trash.

Me, being a fan of metal, knew that would mean having approximately 5 cds left, and that moment I knew I could never be a good Christian!

How is "Geir" pronounced?

kingkongvsgodzilla, Saturday, 12 January 2008 16:55 (eighteen years ago)

melodiously

So, may I ask which countries are "known for their morality"?
