I live quite near the "Six Flags" that lost a passenger on the Superman Ride of Steel. Lost as in the guy fell off...so there's been lots of chatter about safety. But otherwise have fun!

G.O.A.T.

I hate (am scared of/bored by) rollercoasters/haunted houses/etc.

I went on that Superman ride at Six Flags! I'm not a big roller-coaster fan, and that ride scared the piss out of me. I was dizzy afterwards...

But the correct answer here is
CANADA'S WONDERLAND, baby!

I thought we'd had a thread on this somewhere, or something similar at least! I have to vote for alton towers. It's so great, but so very expensive!

I was an amusement park worker once. It was sort of horrible, actually.

Nemisis (at Alton Towers) is still my favourite, and Air (ditto) is the only ride I'll wait the extra 20mins for the front car. Having said that, I'm off to Spain in a few weeks and really looking forward to going on Dragon Kahn again...

Depends what you're looking for in a park, though. I find the European (UK included) parks to be very ride focused; Tussaud parks in particular seem to have 3hr queue areas where that's all you do, queue. The thing I noticed at the Disney / Universal parks I've been to was that there was more to do for both those who weren't into the big rides and those waiting to go on the rides; what do others think?
