Can one fix a cassette tape that becomes wound so tight that it won't play?

you tried pulling some of the tape out carefully with a pencil then winding it back on? Fast forwarding the tape all the way forward and back helps too.

You can't just dive into these things, you need to warm it up first. Dim the lights, cook it dinner, cuddle and try working from the outer thighs, making sure to provide manual, oral and genital contact. It will loosen on its own; these things can't be rushed.
