Peaceful moments (warning - hippyfied!)

I've been having a fairly stressful time lately but just a few minutes ago, through my open window, way way way off in the distance, I could hear what sounded like a country church bell tolling. The gentlest of scented breezes blew my hair across my face and all the shit just fell away for a few euphoric moments.

Had to note it.

:-) Moments like that are to be treasured, I think. Felt that way last Thursday out watching the library softball team -- beautiful late afternoon, breeze, calm.

The weather in Dublin is like a gift.

In the morning before the rush to work, the sunlight comes through the slats in the shutters on the bedroom window and makes the cats turn over in their sleep.

I get a little moment each morning now that the weather is lovely here in London. Instead of taking the gross tube all the way to work, I get off at Covent Garden and walk the rest of the way, in which I walk over the Thames on Waterloo Bridge. There's usually a moment when I can feel the sun on my face, the breeze, etc, and I get that fleeting moment of calm. It happens again just before I get to the office as I go through this little garden area which is strangely quiet considering I'm in the middle of such an urban area. I hear the birds and smell the plants and the grass and ahhhhhhh, something inside me just chills right out.

Then I get to work and it dies.

I sometimes look out of the window at work & see deer, rabbits, pheasants & squirrels & this makes me happy & calm for a few moments. Sadly it never lasts.

Drizzly evening in January, beautiful.

When I drive alone with the music so loud I can't even hear myself screaming, then I turn off the music, and then I stop screaming.
