Choose Your Fruit!

I am Ytraxor of Graztork, new ruler of Earth. In order to better manage food supplies, here is my second decree: each puny Earthling will choose one fruit to consume for the rest of his/her natural life. Once your decision is made, you are allowed only this one fruit until you die.

You may choose a specific varietal (i.e. golden delicious apple), but please don't get smart and say "citrus" or "fruit cocktail." Use general terms, like "grapefruit" or "mango." Also, the rest of the Universe considers tomatoes a vegetable, so if you pick them, you lose out.

Ytraxor of Graztork, Wednesday, 19 May 2004 16:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Banana.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 16:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 16:09 (twenty-two years ago)

I guess if I had to choose one only, it would be apples, probably something like pink lady, cold and ripe. Peaches and overripe bananas and perfectly ripe melons and large seedless black grapes are even nicer at the right times, but apples are always good.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 16:17 (twenty-two years ago)

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 16:17 (twenty-two years ago)

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 16:20 (twenty-two years ago)

blueberries: tasty, good for the urinary tract, easy to eat, and not quite so addictive that i'd want to snack on them compulsively.

stockholm cindy (Jody Beth Rosen), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 16:23 (twenty-two years ago)

I grow pears, cherries, plums, strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, loganberries, blackberries, blackcurrants and several different varieties of apple in my garden so BOO TO YOU MISTER YTRAXOR.

I like nice ripe juicy mangoes though, so I might choose those. As well.
