Has anyone here (besides burmakitty if she's still around) ever seriously considered becoming a police officer? anyone ever went through the academy?

I took the written part of the police recruit exam for NO last month. It's something I've always thought seemed really interesting despite my checkered past. The background check should be fun (voice stress analysis, threatening interview, the whole shebang) but hey I get 25 college credits for completing the academy. I don't know anything about the Dallas PD but I bet you'd have to get big sunglasses and one of those mustaches from the "Sabotage" video. In NO we just have fat cops (another reason I think I'd be in like Flynn--I'm 6'4" and pretty healthy despite my fiending for Camels).

Also I rewatched "Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol" last week and, yes, it was as good as it always is. I don't think this had anything to do with the 3/4 bottle of vodka I drank beforehand.

I seriously considered becoming an FBI agent. Then I decided I wanted to be an English teacherWTF
