Why don't the police just grab handfuls of ketchup/mustard packets at McDonald's for the inmates? My grandmother used to keep cup fulls of those little packets in her fridge so she wouldn't have to buy condiments.

wasn't this a major plot line in the weird prison show/footballer's wives crossover last week? my flatmate was watching it and i saw something about making rhubarb hooch that poisoned everyone or something?

It's just like the old days, when bankrupts were made to pay for their stay in debtors prison (as was everyone else in prison, but bankrupts are Alanis-approved in this context).
