There's the French House in Soho, but that might be French in name only, and is tiny, and probably doesn't have a TV.

What a shame the City of Paris is now Bar Habana.

Come on Porto!

Try in South Kensington, near the Lycée Francais and French Institute.

Confirmed: no telly in the French House.

You're actually much more likely to see the game in the Portugese bars in Stockwell.

Les Deux Beers?? (probably not)

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 11:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Suzy, he has a 100% chance of seeing it in his own front room on ITV, but I think he wants to watch it with French fans for atmosphere and that.

It's not seeing the game that's important so much as seeing with people who want Monaco to win. Feck it, should just go to a Celtic pub. No-one in France likes Monaco anyway.

What about Bar Kick on Shoreditch High St?

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 11:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Good suggestion from the Nipper there. Big TVs and is always full of French people.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 11:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Plus: French table football.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 11:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Some of the random people in Bar Kick are incredibly anal about the rules of table football, I have discovered.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 11:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Are they the French ones?

Dadaismus (Dada), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 11:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, funnily enough.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 11:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Hmmmmmmmmm, I can imagine Arsene Wenger being incredibly anal about table football

My best mate used to live in a flat backing onto the Lycee in South Ken. They stagger their breaktimes so there is nonstop screaming kid noize from 9.30am until lunchtime. Not good on a hangover (the French have school on Saturdays, innit).

Madchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 17:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Sorry I got here too late, the correct answer to this is the Fulham Tup (I think that's right) anyway, it's in Earl's court and has been adopted by the Froggies (my placement student goes there to drink Desperado beer avec tequila)

chris (chris), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 18:44 (twenty-two years ago)

"French pub"?!?!???

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 18:48 (twenty-two years ago)

I was about to say. Anyway, Porto up 1-0.
