BBC Scotland has just aired a hilarious bile filled Party Political Broadcast by this lot. Oh look, they have a website. Where you can vote on/rate their policies. See?

I did not know there were Chr1stians in the UK.

I am a touch disappointed with the response to this thread. RJG saw it, but is not posting.

Should the Lordship of Christ over Europe be recognised in the proposed EU Constitution?

Wow.

I was going to respond to this yesterday, Madchen, but I had to run off to an exam.

The website is disappointingly thin on details. It is bizarre that they don't seem to claim any principles other than being in favour of Jesus and 'the family'. They say they believe all laws should be based on biblical teaching, as if it was obvious what that would mean.

Of the Christians I've met or known who've claimed any interest in politics, almost all are social justice-campaigning, moderate socialist, caring-about-the-third-world sorts. But maybe OCV's reactionary sort of fundamentalism is more common in this country than I thought?

I wish I'd seen the hilarious bile-filled party broadcast. The BNP's one was a bit too depressing to really be funny. The BNP's website, incidentally, is worth looking at if only for the ridiculous merchandise (you can buy nationalist mousemats!)

Cathy (Cathy), Friday, 28 May 2004 09:15 (twenty-two years ago)

so laws should contradict themselves then?

MarkH (MarkH), Friday, 28 May 2004 09:46 (twenty-two years ago)

'Christians can also avoid the ploy of the other political parties who will insist, “The only way to stop the BNP is to vote for them.”'

I had to read this a few times before I understood what was going on...

What's the point in google proofing if we're just going to fill their referer logs?
