What are they really trying to say?

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 19:52 (twenty-two years ago)

beer

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 19:53 (twenty-two years ago)

They are overcompensating for their lack of urinary quality and/or quantity.

NA (Nick A.), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 19:53 (twenty-two years ago)

is this another anti-Cdn thread?

The Huckle-Buck (Horace Mann), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 19:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, I couldn't help myself.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 19:58 (twenty-two years ago)

And fuck you.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 19:58 (twenty-two years ago)

that's the last straw. I'm going home. To drink beer. And polish my, uh, comedy act for tomorrow night.

The Huckle-Buck (Horace Mann), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 20:01 (twenty-two years ago)

That better be all you're polishing.

I love how proud the 2nd guy looks. And also the fact that he looks about 18.

Coors Light and Milwaukee's Best appear to be the beverage of choice among pyramid builders.

Broheems (diamond), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 20:06 (twenty-two years ago)

The Pringles pyramid is what bothers me.

deanomgwtf!!!p%3Fmsgid%3D4581997 (deangulberry), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 20:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Isn't the 2nd guy CRW?

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 20:07 (twenty-two years ago)

aw, I was kinda hoping this was a thread to talk endlessly about beer.

x Jeremy (Atila the Honeybun), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 20:08 (twenty-two years ago)

OMG WTF I JUST NOTICED THE PRINGLES! those are not the kind with olestra either

Be sure to Loop! Loop, Loop, Loop. (ex machina), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 20:09 (twenty-two years ago)

I've met that first guy.

What? You don't like beer?

andy, Wednesday, 26 May 2004 20:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Isn't the 2nd guy CRW?

I thought that myself!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 20:11 (twenty-two years ago)

i talk often about beer except when i'm drinking it, when i talk about wild, dangerous and great things.

"I'm sorry Mr. President. I'm too busy to talk about beer at the moment."

martin m. (mushrush), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 20:19 (twenty-two years ago)

"Talking about beer is like drinking about ornithology."
-M. Mull

andy, Wednesday, 26 May 2004 20:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Depends a lot on whether it takes the form of

"I drank X pints last night and Y pints the night before and Z pints the night before that"

or

"Fullers London Pride, whilst a decent pint, is getting somewhat ubiquitous now. I used to really enjoy the Ridelys in the Swimmer coz it is rarely found outside its native Essex. There are lots of beers which now seem lost forever, like ABC and Burton, tho you can still get Double Diamond in the Henton and Chinnor areas I believe"

doesn't it?

MarkH (MarkH), Thursday, 27 May 2004 08:00 (twenty-two years ago)

The ony sane reasons for enjoying the Ridley's are 1) it tastes good and 2) it gets you pissed.

Ricardo (RickyT), Thursday, 27 May 2004 08:06 (twenty-two years ago)

x-post

No.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Thursday, 27 May 2004 08:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Mark I'm not sure which of your two examples is less palatable.

"The thing is they've introduced a revolutionary way of lagering the hops using genetically modified hair from donkey's nostrils. It gives the beer a very unusual colour and the flavour reacts martvellously with the barley."

It's when they start talking about the cricket that I start to fret.

Tim (Tim), Thursday, 27 May 2004 08:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Hi Tim!

Ricardo (RickyT), Thursday, 27 May 2004 08:17 (twenty-two years ago)

I seem to have mislaid my jacket with the leather elbow patches

*picks pork scratching out of beard*

MarkH (MarkH), Thursday, 27 May 2004 08:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I want beer

Be sure to Loop! Loop, Loop, Loop. (ex machina), Thursday, 27 May 2004 11:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Ricky you're very good to me in so far as you generally keep the cricket talk out of earshot.

They don't half love their cricket down the Wenlock, it's awful.

Tim (Tim), Thursday, 27 May 2004 11:01 (twenty-two years ago)

you can almost hear the crack of willow upon leather.

MarkH (MarkH), Thursday, 27 May 2004 11:52 (twenty-two years ago)

No, that's me banging my head against the table.

Tim (Tim), Thursday, 27 May 2004 11:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Im digging some Pete's Strawberry Blonde lately.

Spinktor au de toilette (El Spinktor), Thursday, 27 May 2004 11:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Pete's not a strawberry blonde. Mind you, he's not a platinum blonde either.

MarkH (MarkH), Thursday, 27 May 2004 14:35 (twenty-two years ago)

he's a duuuurrty blonde

chris (chris), Thursday, 27 May 2004 14:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Belgian beer ROOL.

jesus nathalie (nathalie), Thursday, 27 May 2004 14:44 (twenty-two years ago)

There is nothing dirty about my blondeness thank you very much.

Pete (Pete), Thursday, 27 May 2004 14:46 (twenty-two years ago)

whenever i go to a party and the conversation turns to beer i want to make myself invisible

amateur!st (amateurist), Thursday, 27 May 2004 15:37 (twenty-two years ago)

when beer became like wine, the terrorists won.

jack cole (jackcole), Thursday, 27 May 2004 15:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Eat a dong, Jack.

Clarke B. (Clarke B.), Thursday, 27 May 2004 16:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Just kidding, of course, it's just one of my pet peeves when beer gets crammed into its familiar role. It's possible to be into good-tasting beer without being a snob about it -- just as it's possible with wine.

Clarke B. (Clarke B.), Thursday, 27 May 2004 16:24 (twenty-two years ago)

What about when the conversation at the party turns to music, Amateurist?

Clarke B. (Clarke B.), Thursday, 27 May 2004 16:25 (twenty-two years ago)

He appears out of thin air. First his smile, and then the rest of him.

Tim (Tim), Thursday, 27 May 2004 16:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Alternately, Jack, when beer became like Bud, the Man won.

Clarke B. (Clarke B.), Thursday, 27 May 2004 16:26 (twenty-two years ago)

And last, his gut.

NA (Nick A.), Thursday, 27 May 2004 16:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Tim suggests: They don't half love their cricket down the Wenlock, it's awful
Watch the lip, Hopkins. This is my local of which you speak. We tolerate those types who think of tracksuit trousers as formal evening wear, but time restrictions are imposed upon the lengths at which they are allowed to discuss the football.
Cricket is not even half loved at the Wenlock.
Next time you're down, I'll fill you up on super strength cider (you may not remember drinking that there recently...) and you can talk about Devonish delights. Such as rugby, perhaps.

Canada Briggs (Canada Briggs), Thursday, 27 May 2004 18:03 (twenty-two years ago)

BEER IS FOR QUEERS MALT LIQUOR IS WHAT THE TUFF DUDES DRINK

deanomgwtf!!!p%3Fmsgid%3D4581997 (deangulberry), Thursday, 27 May 2004 18:09 (twenty-two years ago)

deanomgwtf!!!p%3Fmsgid%3D4581997 (deangulberry), Thursday, 27 May 2004 18:09 (twenty-two years ago)
