I'm thinking any real FAP possibilities will be Sat evening the 26th.

lots of decadence and the best f*cking music ever...I might even bring
some '93 big pants love for dockerz to spin!

Car (from Manhattan): Take Manhattan bridge, take left on Myrtle
Avenue, drive 1 mile, take a left on Classon at Citgo station. #172 on

you know, i don't care if this is a three person FAP tonight.. i just want to do something involving an ilxor related FAP tonight and not really go to a show per se... i know there are tons of shows tonight that many people want to go to, so i guess i'm going to have to miss all of you guys. thing is: i have no clue WHERE we should meet? should this be Brooklyn-centric? or Manhattan-centric? I'll try to call everyone I can, but Im beginning to doubt i'll be able to pull this off on my own, especially since i -- duh -- don't know the cool bars here. so i will need a little bit of help here. it would nice to have something, even if very small, just a sendoff for tomorrow when i go back to seattle... so., um, if we traded phone numbers at least once, expect me to call you today.

Was ddb at the party? I've never met this ddb.

How early are you leaving tomorrow? I'd love to meet up for breakfast, wherever you like. I'm staying on the Lower East Side.

Tonight I might be going to some Britpop-ish club (I'm assuming) called Misshapes. It's in the West Village, near the Film Forum. Although, knowing me, I might just stay in and watch old Devo videos with my old roommate.

And how was Iceland, anyway? Did you find the cool record store with all the flyers for the cool clubs? I didn't find the Argentinian equivalent.

Well, no one has really returned my messages or stepped up to the plate to FAP tonight in the traditional way, so I'm currently planning on going to another Dan-ceathon in stence's hood tonight which is just south of Clinton Hill. (dan, i'll call you later tonight for the directions). At this point, if anyone wants to "fap", this is the closest thing to a good location I can think of. anyone who doesn't already have the 411, call me about it, and i'll hopefully have it by the time you call me. :B eep

pros being great djs and good fun

cons being costing 7 dollars and being in a neighborhood that's really only convenient to stence's hood and nobody else! I'll be showing up late as I'm going to a friends going away party first. Still, hope you can make it, should be cool...

Re: Misshapes: It's OK, Lauren, it's gotten to the point where I feel like the old guy everywhere I go these days! I guess if it starts to get on my nerves, I'll just go to the Hole. I always feel at home there.

brunchwise, no idea, but lunchwise, how do you feel about polish food in greenpoint?

well, wow... am i tired...

anyway.. no one else on ilx showed up to that dance party thingy on saturday night (ally, tom, otis? were you guys alright?) but it was a lot of fun, and i got to get back in touch with an old KUCI acquantaince who has been a WFMU dj for nine years... ($mall change/jim dier)... yes, this is very early on in my koochie history.
and i ran into dan selzer as i was leaving at 2:45am... damn, made me wish i wasn't so tired then.

brunch was great with geeta, jody, and arthur (although this marks the first time i lost something on my entire trip! basically just a cheap blue flannel shirt.. anyone who goes to the Odessa Cafe Bar and sits at the window can claim it now I guess.)

hstencil was a GREAT host and wonderful to chat with for the past weekend, as well as alice. as was my previous non-ilxor host trevor too.

i wish the rest of sunday was better (let's just say I really fucking hate MTA right now.. L train never going to Manhattan from Wmsbrg, fine. but not bothering to inform people going to JFK that the fucking A is now running on the downstairs track in a given terminal stop...? i almost missed my flight back.. and that stupid ass overpriced Airtrain is so goddamn slow)

anyway, must get sweeeeet sleeeeeeeeeeep..

Well you know, thanks to the accident of history and the calendar I am going to revive this thread -- because!

I will be wrapping up my East Coast vacation on Saturday the 26th and would like to see if there was any interest in some sort of general FAP on the night of the 25th. Doesn't have to be an all night thing or whatever, even early evening is fine, but I'm up for good food, good drinks and kicking off a weekend well.
