He has a certain violent energy that makes his characters (the ones I've seen) quite gregarious, but they are also gentle and restrained to his own immediate space - I can't see him accidentally knocking into someone. He is quite earnest, perhaps naive, but (sometimes, at least) remains intelligent and enthusiastic when confronted with harship.
