I used to live across the road from a hotel and they regularly had big lavish Hindu weddings. One of my neighbours worked as a porter there and said the guests gave bottles of champagne to the staff. There were fireworks and horses and music pumping out all night.

Much better than a plate of sandwiches down the Vic' eh?

Don't horses get scared of fireworks? I am now imagining a scene where the horses rear up like Champion the Wonder Horse and stampede through the crowds, knocking champagne bottles hither and thither.

Watch the Simpsons episode, natch. That should be enough research.

mookieproof (mookieproof), Wednesday, 16 June 2004 15:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Good point!

the horse comes out in the beginning. they probably bust out fireworks like 6-8 hrs. later.
