i don't think so because a 1000 post thread would take too long to load for most people.

Usually they get separated into part 1, part 2 etc etc, Just like Police academy films.

the kill bill and OK cupid thread got to 1000.

In yr settings you can adjust the number of posts you want to read. I set it at last 200 posts.

I'm not on broadband. I set mine to last 50 answers. The only problem is when there are more than 50 unread, it reverts to showing the whole thread. It would be nice if it could be tweaked to just show the unread ones in this situation, but moons and sticks come to mind.

I am on broadband and only show the last fifty.

I think threadsplitting is silly and an unecessary confusion but it doesn't make me angry.

I'm on dialup and as I recall it seems to be fine at 200 as long as there aren't many pics.
