stevem (blueski), Thursday, 17 June 2004 09:30 (twenty-two years ago)

My boss just said i can leave early to get home for the footie!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 17 June 2004 09:35 (twenty-two years ago)

I had a Cadbury Dream w/strawberry bits for breakfast *AND* I'm leaving at 4 to go and watch the footie.

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 17 June 2004 09:39 (twenty-two years ago)

It's my birthday in two days. Oh and my computer is mended and waiting for me at home like a naked lover. Or something.

Archel (Archel), Thursday, 17 June 2004 09:39 (twenty-two years ago)

I am also leaving at 4 for footie.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Thursday, 17 June 2004 09:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I am not. But we may watch it here via WinTv and data projector yay. No beer though boo.

Archel (Archel), Thursday, 17 June 2004 09:53 (twenty-two years ago)

I am going to see the FIFA 100 exhibition at lunchtime.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 17 June 2004 09:54 (twenty-two years ago)

no, it's crap, yes we can leave early to watch the footie, only I won't be able to due to the fact that someone is being a complete @rse and throwing his weight around to prove a point, just as I thought the biggest project of my working life was going so smoothly, at the moment I won't even get to watch the footie unless I get a telly for my desk

chris (chris), Thursday, 17 June 2004 09:54 (twenty-two years ago)

my mancunian employee's lunch hour coincides with the footy so I won't have to let him go home early!

teeny (teeny), Thursday, 17 June 2004 10:29 (twenty-two years ago)

our company has booked a pub to 'entertain clients' by watching the footie. we leave at 4. open bar. free food. yeah, tough day at the office...

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Thursday, 17 June 2004 10:31 (twenty-two years ago)

but you Canadians don't even like football! ;)

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 17 June 2004 10:35 (twenty-two years ago)

but we like free beer!

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Thursday, 17 June 2004 10:46 (twenty-two years ago)

U.S. Open golf is on all day, I just finished proofing the last magazine pages for the month, and I'm not wearing any shoes.

Rock Hardy (Rock Hardy), Thursday, 17 June 2004 13:17 (twenty-two years ago)

I have been signed off for two weeks with work-related stress/depression.

Matt Thurgood (Matt T), Thursday, 17 June 2004 13:28 (twenty-two years ago)

shit hasn't blown up.

hstencil (hstencil), Thursday, 17 June 2004 13:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Leaving early for the football, only two days until I go to sunny Spain for a fortnight (watching Spain vs Portugal in Spain should be fun).

Onimo (GerryNemo), Thursday, 17 June 2004 13:33 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm not going to watch the footie, but i was given the option to take a long lunch to do so which i thought was a very nice gesture. more importantly, i just found the unlimited-ride metrocard that i bought yesterday and misplaced sometime last night! yahoo!

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 17 June 2004 13:40 (twenty-two years ago)

also, your Tribe won last night. Hail to Chief Wahoo.

hstencil (hstencil), Thursday, 17 June 2004 13:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Day off. Six thousand words ahead. Making goat salad with sorrel over rice noodles. Get in.

Tep (ktepi), Thursday, 17 June 2004 13:57 (twenty-two years ago)

We talked. Really talked. And we might not be breaking up after all.

::tries not to hold breath::

Oh yeah, and catching a minute and a half of Ascot on the telly! Wah-hey!

Apostrophe Catastrophe (kate), Thursday, 17 June 2004 14:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Good luck Kate /\ (that is meant to be crossed fingers).

Archel (Archel), Thursday, 17 June 2004 14:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Great day because: tomorrow, all registered users of ILE are moving to Green Bay, Wisconsin!

Skottie, Thursday, 17 June 2004 14:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Ooh, good luck Kate!

My day isn't really great... I woke up bright and breezy this morning and shared some precious time with muh honey before work. I had a nice soup lunch. I'm 2/3 of the way through a really good script which I'm looking forward to finishing. An that's about it.

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 17 June 2004 14:30 (twenty-two years ago)

got to sleep late + no hangover!

stockholm cindy (Jody Beth Rosen), Thursday, 17 June 2004 14:31 (twenty-two years ago)

i busted a hard nut at 6 am.

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Thursday, 17 June 2004 15:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Is that something to do with gallstones?

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 17 June 2004 16:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Fingers crossed, Kate.

Didn't melt in the heat for once, that's a plus

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Thursday, 17 June 2004 16:32 (twenty-two years ago)

I saw the lights of the Goodyear Blimp and it read "Gear's a pimp"

Gear! (Gear!), Thursday, 17 June 2004 16:35 (twenty-two years ago)

I see the schizophrenia is working out nicely for you, gear.

oops (Oops), Thursday, 17 June 2004 19:26 (twenty-two years ago)

It's bloody Christmas compared to yesterday.

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Thursday, 17 June 2004 19:54 (twenty-two years ago)

It's nearly Friday. And I got offered my job on a full-time contract. (I could fill the "it's a terrible day because..." with why this probably isn't a good thing, but it's money which rules all at the moment).

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 17 June 2004 19:57 (twenty-two years ago)

my bad day has turned better because I was offered another job starting in six weeks on another project, more pay and a promotion, but weirder hours. It'll help finance my well-deserved move at least!

Gear! (Gear!), Thursday, 17 June 2004 21:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Congrats, Gear! Vampire hours are best for sneaking in that drink.

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Thursday, 17 June 2004 21:40 (twenty-two years ago)

oh yes, don't think I won't do that.

Gear! (Gear!), Thursday, 17 June 2004 21:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Good luck, K. Congratulations, A.

Right now things are looking great because I've got VH1C on and it's playing a video of the live "Pictures of You" from the Trilogy DVD and even though I still can't afford to splurge on a DVD (not even Sing Blue Silver, you guys), it's making me really want to break with the budget I've set so I can get Trilogy. I've made it through another stress-filled day and I'm home, relaxing, feeling mellow, feeling good, filled with good music and good cheer, knowing where I stand with enough people, loving friends, happy.

Those Beautiful Lines (Dee the Lurker), Thursday, 17 June 2004 21:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Dee, saw Trilogy on Amazon today for $21.73. If you've gift certificates, truly a steal at way less.

Silence that inner child, go forth and splurge.
