Skeletor vs Love Machine - FITE!

Also the thread for all other comedy refs we have known and loved.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Friday, 18 June 2004 12:06 (twenty-two years ago)

anyone mention George Courtenay or David Elleray and there'll be trouble

chris (chris), Friday, 18 June 2004 12:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Has to be Mr Frisk. He is my favourite ref. You can almost see his medallion under his shirt! Not to mention...

See, the ladies love him!

Matt DC (Matt DC), Friday, 18 June 2004 12:12 (twenty-two years ago)

frisk is the true star of euro 2004 so far.

collina may be trading on his reputation alone, see also Motson, Lynam, Owen...

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Friday, 18 June 2004 12:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Anders Frisk was fourth official last night, wasn't he? You never see Collina do that. Evidently he's as versatile on the pitch as he is in the boudoir.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Friday, 18 June 2004 12:16 (twenty-two years ago)

I was searching for pics of Keith Hackett and got this. Probably just about work safe, but not what I expected really.

xpost - Frisky is doing Spain and Portugal.

ps - It's the Stepford Linesmen!

Dave B (daveb), Friday, 18 June 2004 12:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah he was. james said 'there's your man' & trust me, he never says that!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 18 June 2004 12:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Frisky also helps starving children in Africa!

aw poor anders, get well shoon my shwedish friend...

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Thursday, 16 September 2004 13:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Imagine if it was Collina who'd been twatted like that. Could you imagine him with blood streaming down his bald crown and those staring eyes looking REALLY ANGRY?

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 16 September 2004 13:45 (twenty-one years ago)

God save us, that'd be terrifying.

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 16 September 2004 13:46 (twenty-one years ago)

if it was Collina his head would split into two and slowly morph back together again.

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 16 September 2004 13:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Surely this is a photoshop opportunity...

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 16 September 2004 13:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Collina raises hand aloft in the 'showing card position', elongates, slowly into a razor-sharp point which shoots at lightning speed into the crowd and straight through the head of his powerless assailant. Pinned to his forehead is a yellow card, which quickly turns red from the blood.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 16 September 2004 13:51 (twenty-one years ago)

I am sorry for Frisk.

the chimefox, Thursday, 16 September 2004 14:47 (twenty-one years ago)

What has happened to him? Jealous husband?

Liz :x (Liz :x), Thursday, 16 September 2004 14:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Got a lighter in the head whilst walking off for half time.

Why do they have fourth officials, can someone remind me?

___ (___), Thursday, 16 September 2004 15:18 (twenty-one years ago)

To check the studs (Anders doesn't want any more studs around ha ha)

To indicate the additional number of minutes

To police the observance of rules relating to the technical area

To act as a stand in in any of the officials become incapacitated.

Everyone's got an opinion on this one...

Matt DC (Matt DC), Tuesday, 8 March 2005 10:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Mourinho's really pushing it - surely a massive fine is on the way, whereas Frisk will just opt for a fine massage

Sven Bastard (blueski), Tuesday, 8 March 2005 10:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Is that what Rijkaard was doing in his dressing room at half time?

Matt DC (Matt DC), Tuesday, 8 March 2005 10:42 (twenty-one years ago)

"you scretch my beck, and for sure i will scretch your beck in addition!"

Sven Bastard (blueski), Tuesday, 8 March 2005 10:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Reading this story this morning, I thought immediately of this thread.

Mourinho really is a tit.

Matt (Matt), Tuesday, 8 March 2005 10:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Tuesday, 8 March 2005 20:24 (twenty-one years ago)

The more repeats of Ronaldinho's second goal i see, the purer its genius appears.

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Tuesday, 8 March 2005 20:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Woah? Luck on Barsa's defence side for a change...

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Tuesday, 8 March 2005 20:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Frisk decides to quit

Swedish referee Anders Frisk is to retire with immediate effect following a number of threats aimed at him and his family.

Bo Karlsson, chairman of Sweden's football referees association, confirmed Frisk's exit from the game but refused to divulge any details of the nature of the threats.

He told the Swedish news agency TT, www.ttt.se: "I don't want to go into the details, Anders will have to talk about that. But the threats have been serious enough. We have spoken and I can confirm he is quitting."

Frisk was in charge of the controversial match between Chelsea and Barcelona in the Champions League last month which saw the Spanish side emerge with a 2-1 first-leg victory.

After the game Blues boss Jose Mourinho accused his Barcelona counterpart Frank Rijkaard of speaking to Frisk in his dressing room at half-time.

Chelsea were also unhappy with the red card Frisk awarded to striker Didier Drogba.

In September Frisk abandoned the Champions League clash at Roma's Olympic Stadium when Dynamo Kiev were the visitors after being struck on the head by an object thrown from the crowd.

He was scheduled to referee the World Cup qualifying match between Estonia and Slovakia on March 26.

:(

Sven Bastard (blueski), Saturday, 12 March 2005 12:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh no! No Collina, no Frisk, who will be the new leading light of European refereeing? (cue 100+ "Not Urs Meier please")

ailsa (ailsa), Saturday, 12 March 2005 12:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Hugh Dallas? HAHAHAHAHA.

Andy Jay, Saturday, 12 March 2005 12:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Is Dallas not retiring as well this year?

ailsa (ailsa), Saturday, 12 March 2005 13:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Urs Meier was OTM.

Markelby (Mark C), Saturday, 12 March 2005 13:15 (twenty-one years ago)

What about Marcus Merk? Urs Meier will never be allowed to referee a game in England without morons lynching him.

ailsa (ailsa), Saturday, 12 March 2005 13:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Has Kim Morton Neilsen refereed in England since France 98?

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Saturday, 12 March 2005 13:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes, a couple of times (google is your friend, if you remember his name is Kim Milton Nielsen), I've found Man U v Juve 2003 and Liverpool v Borussia Dortmund 2001 so far.

ailsa (ailsa), Saturday, 12 March 2005 13:39 (twenty-one years ago)

With COllina coming off the FIFA list, you may get stuck with the young Italian guy with horrible hair.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Saturday, 12 March 2005 16:29 (twenty-one years ago)

It's the end of an era, for sure. I feel sorry for all the laydeez. It's like a footballing version of when Valentino died.

Dave B (daveb), Sunday, 13 March 2005 15:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I heard it's all a cover and Frisky was actually receiving death threats from cuckolded husbands.
