Now that Wimbledon fortnight is here the press are referring to Wimbledon as SW19 yet again! Why do they do this? Are there any other famous postcodes? Is any other place so closely associated with its postcode?

strictly speaking, SW19 is a postal district rather than a post code. pedantry aside, however, NW3 springs to mind as on a par with SW19 in the 'famous' stakes.
