Yes, I did. I liked the opera boy appearing at an urban music festival...

My eldest, Amber, is six and is the kind of pretty girl that could get 'marketed' all over the place. But there is no way I'd put her through all that kind of pressure, no-one needs that. People I know who have done such things have been people whos occupation puts them into the limelight at various times, so at least have a handle on coping with it. This kind of work tends to be 'short burst' and the kids gets bored to tears with it quite quickly.

Yeah, it kinda reminded me of Spellbound, when the mother of one of the kids joked that she thinks it's actually a form of child abuse.

I was aghast when that couple were talking about their daughter getting the part of the cat in Dick Whittington or whatever it was, and they made her study their own cat for hours on end everyday after school. I don't think now that she was grown up that allowing her father to choose her clothes or make up for her was a good idea either.

When he was demonstrating hand and arm movements for "argentina", I said "He actually knows less than he thinks he does: This is very bad!" and so it proved.
