On a new phone plan and can make unlimited calls to US, UK and probably some other countries. And yet, I have no idea what to do with this power. Suggestions, preferably for profit, mischief or amusement, please.

This, for starters!

mookieproof (mookieproof), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 16:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Crap. Apparently it's limited to US, UK, Ireland, New Zealand and Canada. (Even though three of those are the ones that I'd have most call to use them in this is still disappointing).

edward o (edwardo), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 16:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Call 1-202-456-1414 and ask to speak with George.

Casuistry (Chris P), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 17:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Call 867-5309 for every area/country code in the world! Make a list of how the calls go! Turn it into a book! Go on talk shows!

Tep (ktepi), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 17:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Call every 382-5968, and ask them if they know why you're calling them.

Haahaha OMG edward... you have that AAPT plan dont you. OH god.

Trayce (trayce), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 00:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, wasn't my idea. My housemates changed over to it while I was away for a month. They, of course, want to call the Queen. To ask what kind of underwear she has on. (Frilly, I bet).

edward o (edwardo), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 01:59 (twenty-one years ago)

i'll be down on the weekend to use the phone edward.

gaz (gaz), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 02:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Call 867-5309 for every area/country code in the world!
Over/under on the number of "Jenny"'s encountered during this experiment = 2.5. Start placing bets.

Barry Bruner (Barry Bruner), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 02:24 (twenty-one years ago)

B-b-b-b-but what if these Jennys changed their number?

edward o (edwardo), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 02:27 (twenty-one years ago)

There's a lotta wannabe Jenny's with a yearnin' just waiting.

jim wentworth (wench), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 03:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Edward: I work for the Effie-go-round. It sucks. Those ads are embarrasing. I spose its a good deal tho, if you make a lotta OS calls... woudve been handy for me when I had the Canadian fiance.

TrAyc3 HideZ from W0rkg00glers (trayce), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 03:35 (twenty-one years ago)

NB their call centres are usless tho, so be prepared...

again, n0t Tr4yc3, no siree (trayce), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 03:36 (twenty-one years ago)

The ads are terrible, aren't they? People don't really think Effie is funny, do they? I make heaps of interstate calls (because I don't KNOW ANYBODY in Canberra, I HAVE TO lest I go insane through lack of contact with normal people) and keep forgetting to by international call cards when they're needed. Ugh, Effie. If I find out it was an ad featuring her that caused the switch bad shit will go down.

edward o (edwardo), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 04:02 (twenty-one years ago)

i work with a girl who ishwear to god looks and acts jusht loike her!

gaz (gaz), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 04:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Certainly if I was as profoundly us unfunny as Effie's real-life alter-ego (whose name I have conveniently forgotten) I'd try really hard to amuse by being stereotypical and exaggerated but jeez god SHE IS THE ANTI-CHRIST.

edward o (edwardo), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 04:09 (twenty-one years ago)

M*ry Cou*tas. She's pretty damn cute too.

(I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and) Whittle Away My Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 04:11 (twenty-one years ago)
