My instinct is that Olson feels he's accomplished something and just wants to make more money, but he does have a history. Maybe this is Arkansas II. Or, you don't suppose Bush is seeking Olson's services in connection with Plame?

actually, mr. olson's pre-solicitor general law firm was gibson, dunn & crutcher -- a firm whose job offer to sandra day o'connor in the fifties was as a legal secretary (she graduated near the top of her class at stanford).
