They're going to plant that new Clinton book in his car.

Gear! (Gear!), Thursday, 24 June 2004 20:40 (twenty-one years ago)

I can see it now.

"I have realized that I can't stand the day of the death of my wife turned into the ultimate political clusterfuck. I hope Cheney eats shit in hell. And Ann, Barbara said she was your friend only because she pitied you."

And then he gives everyone the tape of the meeting last month where Bush and bin Laden and Hussein and Michael Moore were playing poker.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 24 June 2004 20:41 (twenty-one years ago)

c'mon, Ned, this dude doesn't have any principles.

hstencil (hstencil), Thursday, 24 June 2004 20:41 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm sorry, you're right. He would not in fact condone the exposure of gambling.

Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains), Thursday, 24 June 2004 20:43 (twenty-one years ago)

hahaha nice pic.

anybody who worked for the Arkansas Project is principle-free, imo.

hstencil (hstencil), Thursday, 24 June 2004 20:44 (twenty-one years ago)

No stated reason here.

gabbneb (gabbneb), Thursday, 24 June 2004 20:45 (twenty-one years ago)

bill stevens (bscrubbins), Thursday, 24 June 2004 20:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains), Thursday, 24 June 2004 20:50 (twenty-one years ago)

"Slime keeps flowing like a river to the sea..."

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 24 June 2004 20:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Is Ted Olson the one with the eating disorder or is that the other one?

martin m. (mushrush), Thursday, 24 June 2004 20:54 (twenty-one years ago)

HSTENCIL BEAT ME

hstencil (hstencil), Thursday, 24 June 2004 21:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Wow, and Olson didn't even call someone a "fucker" on the Senate floor.

hstencil (hstencil), Thursday, 24 June 2004 21:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Gear! (Gear!), Thursday, 24 June 2004 21:08 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah, I know, it's a crazy story.

hstencil (hstencil), Thursday, 24 June 2004 21:10 (twenty-one years ago)

My instinct is that Olson feels he's accomplished something and just wants to make more money, but he does have a history. Maybe this is Arkansas II. Or, you don't suppose Bush is seeking Olson's services in connection with Plame?

gabbneb (gabbneb), Thursday, 24 June 2004 21:44 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm guessing cash-in

cinniblount (James Blount), Thursday, 24 June 2004 21:45 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm sure he'll end up with a "partnership" at Kirkland & Ellis, doing no real work, and hit the Republican lecture circuit at Heritage & Cato.

rasheed wallace (rasheed wallace), Thursday, 24 June 2004 23:08 (twenty-one years ago)

actually, mr. olson's pre-solicitor general law firm was gibson, dunn & crutcher -- a firm whose job offer to sandra day o'connor in the fifties was as a legal secretary (she graduated near the top of her class at stanford).

ken starr is a partner at kirkland and ellis. starr & olson = two separate cheeks on the same horse's ass.

Eisbär (llamasfur), Friday, 25 June 2004 00:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Eisbar rocks the house.

dan carville weiner, Friday, 25 June 2004 01:30 (twenty-one years ago)
