Fine Print comes to the Shopping Channel with Canada Day offerings
TORONTO (CP) — Literature is coming to the Shopping Channel.
Beginning July 1, the channel turns a page as it launches Fine Print with Carolyn Weaver, an opportunity to buy Canadian literature along with the usual jewelry, clothes and appliances.
On Canada Day, viewers will be offered two book collector sets. The first includes signed copies of classics like Island by Alistair Macleod, Life of Pi by Yann Martel and Unless by Carol Shields. The second set features The Group of Seven and Tom Thomson by David P. Silcox, a coffee-table book featuring hundreds of paintings and signed by Silcox.
Throughout the day — from 3 p.m. ET to 8 p.m. — the feature segments will include interview footage with the authors.

Shut up Huck. We know you're Canadian. You don't have to ram it down our throuts every chance you get. You don't see the Swiss posting every news item about Switzerland that appears on Swiss newswires, do you?

I'll only buy the Group of Seven book if it comes with a capodimonte figurine of Thompson drowning in an Algonquin lake.
