Mom's never used the net, doesn't care. Dad uses the work computer to keep abreast of track and field/athletics news, but I don't know his preferred sites.

I'm not sure either of them know how to use a computer properly, I think they still turn it off by pulling the plug out from the wall socket.

my parents are wicked into online banking ... they've recently been transferring funds from shared accounts to other shared accounts for no particular reason except becaus it's "neat... like taking control of your own bank[!]"

My pa-- mother doesn't "love Mapquest". But only because she's not an onlining type of person. ;)

Ok, so sometimes she likes to see me go online. And when she does that, it's always with the realtor.com site. If she were more apt for learning tech-type stuff and if we had more than one online connection type place in the house, I'm sure Mom would spend half her time playing online casino games (but not the kind that use actual money) and the other half looking for homes on realtor.com. Maybe the occasional foray into Mapquest, though she'd end up hating it because they never give you side street directions anymore and Mom is SO not a highway person.

Dad was never one to learn how to use the computer. Though, curiously enough, he was the only other person in the house who knew how to program the VCR. Aside from me, that is.

My mum loves Mapquest quite a bit. Helps her keep track of where I am.

When my mom gets really into a website, she'll call me and have me look it up so we can both read the site together over the phone. The last time she did this was with bakerella.com at 11 p.m. one night. "I can't get to sleep, you have to see these cake pops!"
