Did the assault-weapon ban ever accomplish anything? It wouldn't take me a couple of hours to locate an AK (nb: I'm not even sure AKs were on the ban list, I've seen them for sale before), and I'm not even interested in being a criminal.

But I could go right down to the closest gun dealer and get a civilian-model .50cal M-16 without a hitch ban or no ban.

The Cabelas catalogue sells all kinds of high capacity mags for Mini 14's and 7.62 rounds... with a note they're being "grandfathered" out, so stock up now! I've been feeling this pressure in my head, I think I might buy a 30 round mag... then find a clock tower... then....
