Six green bottles hanging on the wall...

:(

The Ghost at Number Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Thursday, 1 July 2004 00:48 (nineteen years ago) link

Then I came along and drank from them all.

Or not.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 1 July 2004 00:50 (nineteen years ago) link

Argh, couldn't find a place for you in the title. Unless you're shrinking. Are you shrinking?

The Ghost at Number Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Thursday, 1 July 2004 00:51 (nineteen years ago) link

Not necessarily?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 1 July 2004 00:55 (nineteen years ago) link

*grumble*

Michael Stuchbery (Mikey Bidness), Thursday, 1 July 2004 00:57 (nineteen years ago) link

Then you are not eligible for inclusion in a thread title regarding shrinkage. I HAVE LITTLE TIME OR PANTS FOR DISCUSSIONS OF THIS NATURE.

where pants = patience

The Ghost at Number Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Thursday, 1 July 2004 00:58 (nineteen years ago) link

Mike, I feel yer angst. (But not that way.)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 1 July 2004 00:59 (nineteen years ago) link

I'd loudly declare something along the lines of 'DEATH TO ((CERTAIN ILXORS))! OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!', but I don't want to raise more of a storm than there is currently.

Michael Stuchbery (Mikey Bidness), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:00 (nineteen years ago) link

I don't understand the current storm, and I'm too scared to get involved. Sounds bad though. Kate's cool.

The Ghost at Number Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:02 (nineteen years ago) link

Yeah, well, just fear the acronym ESOJ.

Michael Stuchbery (Mikey Bidness), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:03 (nineteen years ago) link

Actually, it just seems that every problem that everyone on this board has had with anybody ever has been acted upon under the cover of Jon Williams and his huge ass pictures. There's a new board been formed, some ILXOR's have gone bugfuck fighting fire with fire and other ILXOR's have been having little breakdowns.

Michael Stuchbery (Mikey Bidness), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:06 (nineteen years ago) link

Eeek, one of my pooh sticks got answered by someone who knows what the topic means. I don't. Uh oh.

The Ghost at Number Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:07 (nineteen years ago) link

this is fucked

gaz (gaz), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:08 (nineteen years ago) link

It's been rough, Mikey. I will, however, counsel patience.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:09 (nineteen years ago) link

{SEAN BEAN}

Give me the ring and together we can defeat the Enemy!

{/SEAN BEAN}

Michael Stuchbery (Mikey Bidness), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:13 (nineteen years ago) link

Well, if I wasn't so glum, I'd do a victory lap right now.

I think we should assume that the situation between two people we all like very much is entirely their business, and though we don't like it, we can be patient, as Ned says, and in the meantime grant them their privacy.

the music mole (colin s barrow), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:13 (nineteen years ago) link

Very wisely observed, Mr. Mole.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:14 (nineteen years ago) link

What do you do when you're supposed to find something urgently because millions of dollars per hour is at stake, but you can't find it, and you can't find a way of finding it?

Assuming I care of course, which I don't.

The Ghost at Number Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:16 (nineteen years ago) link

Ask us. Wot you looking for?

the music mole (colin s barrow), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:17 (nineteen years ago) link

Some shit in a massive fuck-off database that doesn't work properly.

The Ghost at Number Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:17 (nineteen years ago) link

start a poohstick. its a win-win situation!

gaz (gaz), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:18 (nineteen years ago) link

hahaha yes. I mean, we're tied aren't we? This is the final round!

the music mole (colin s barrow), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:21 (nineteen years ago) link

I guess I'm just tired of Internet tantrums. Why can't these people get drunk and get into a fight like normal people instead of splurging their insanity across the bandwidth?

It used to be that people would be all, 'Hey, things are rotten with my life in this area', finish up at the Cotton Mill then drink a fuck'pennies worth of Gin and fight the biggest sailor they could find down by the docks. Your problems seemed that much more insignificant when you were digging broken teeth out of your jaw on a ship bound for the Cape of Good Hope.

I'm kidding, but only just.

Michael Stuchbery (Mikey Bidness), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:22 (nineteen years ago) link

There's one guy I know in person who hates me in real life, as a result of an internet argument about fish or something. I still don't know what that was all about.

The Ghost at Number Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:24 (nineteen years ago) link

Perhaps you didn't know your plaice.

the music mole (colin s barrow), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:28 (nineteen years ago) link

Dude, you wanna see some crazyfuck internet arguments, you go to Livejournal, specifically LJ Drama.

As a gesture of goodwill to all my Australian homies on this wintry Thursday afternoon, have some drum and bass.

Michael Stuchbery (Mikey Bidness), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:29 (nineteen years ago) link

Also, I think that this thread is at is pike. If you don't think so, you have no sole. I don't want to carp on about it.

Michael Stuchbery (Mikey Bidness), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:30 (nineteen years ago) link

Hey, it's hardly my fault if he's breaming over with belligerence.

Drum & bass rocks my world.

The Ghost at Number Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:31 (nineteen years ago) link

There's no need to be a snapper - do you hake fun?

the music mole (colin s barrow), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:32 (nineteen years ago) link

Nah, I'm just pissed because I can't find my guitar tuna, I'm no Flake. Do you want to to put this down in Whiting?

Michael Stuchbery (Mikey Bidness), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:34 (nineteen years ago) link

You're all just doing this for the halibut.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:34 (nineteen years ago) link

Goscinny & Uderzo to thread!

the music mole (colin s barrow), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:36 (nineteen years ago) link

These Australians are crazy.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:37 (nineteen years ago) link

I can't think of any more fish names. Yes I'm floundering.

The Ghost at Number Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:40 (nineteen years ago) link

It's not very ex sardine.

the music mole (colin s barrow), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:41 (nineteen years ago) link

Well at least Col's having a whale of a time.

The Ghost at Number Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:45 (nineteen years ago) link

and the poipose of all this?

gaz (gaz), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:49 (nineteen years ago) link

Quiet, shrimp.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:55 (nineteen years ago) link

The porpoise of this is to smelt out our soles, and thereby get closer to Cod.

the music mole (colin s barrow), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:56 (nineteen years ago) link

Jesus Gaz. It's faux naif rhetoric like yours that makes me crabby.

The Ghost at Number Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Thursday, 1 July 2004 01:56 (nineteen years ago) link

Nonsense, gaz's contribution is quite whelkome.

the music mole (colin s barrow), Thursday, 1 July 2004 02:00 (nineteen years ago) link

Oh like you're not toadying to Gaz or anything.

The Ghost at Number Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Thursday, 1 July 2004 02:02 (nineteen years ago) link

Yes, I parrot everything he says - I'm a weak-ling.

the music mole (colin s barrow), Thursday, 1 July 2004 02:04 (nineteen years ago) link

Parrot's not a water animal. Go back to school.

The Ghost at Number Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Thursday, 1 July 2004 02:06 (nineteen years ago) link

Hey yeah, you're right! And the sun isn't either - not to mention the cucumber, the dog, the cat or the snake.

the music mole (colin s barrow), Thursday, 1 July 2004 02:09 (nineteen years ago) link

Chreiysy (trayce), Friday, 6 August 2004 00:19 (nineteen years ago) link

GAH my sw eng lecturer is making me angry. Students ask him a simple question and he turns on them like they're scum. I'm THIS close to tearing shreds off him.

Al'manach Oseni (Autumn Almanac), Friday, 6 August 2004 02:57 (nineteen years ago) link

'ere this should cheer you up then:

I know you know what you know
but you should know by now that you're not me
Talk about a month of Sundays
Toffee nosed wet weekend as far as I can see
Hey diddle diddle
The cat and the fiddle
Piggy in the middle
Doo-a-poo-poo

Bible punching heavyweight
evangelistic boxing kangaroo
Orangutang and anaconda
Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse
even Pluto too

Hey diddle diddle
The cat and the fiddle
Piggy in the middle
Doo-a-poo-poo

(Stig is dead, honestly)

One man's civilization
is another man's jungle, yeah
They say revolution's in the air
I'm dancing in my underwear
'cause I don't care

Hey diddle diddle
The Cat's in the fiddle
Piggy in the middle
Doo-a-poo-poo
Doo-a-poo-poo

Chreiysy (trayce), Friday, 6 August 2004 02:58 (nineteen years ago) link

Chreiysy (trayce), Friday, 6 August 2004 03:16 (nineteen years ago) link

I scared everyone off with my Rutles songs :(

Chreiysy (trayce), Friday, 6 August 2004 04:24 (nineteen years ago) link

purple patch (electricsound), Friday, 6 August 2004 04:45 (nineteen years ago) link

Yeah, sort of. I just don't know with that site. I don't quite have a feel for it or something, but mostly I don't get the kind of answers I'm looking for over there...

gaz (gaz), Friday, 6 August 2004 09:44 (nineteen years ago) link

He's OK? Cut lips and mouths can be deceptive - lots of blood, quick healing time.

the music mole (colin s barrow), Friday, 6 August 2004 22:00 (nineteen years ago) link

yeah he's ok. just some steri strips to hold it together, no stitches needed. unfortunately his nose is running all over the wound, which we've covered with some plastic skin.

gaz (gaz), Saturday, 7 August 2004 04:41 (nineteen years ago) link

Al'manach Oseni (Autumn Almanac), Saturday, 7 August 2004 20:49 (nineteen years ago) link

Hi Milton. Sorry, I fell asleep too.
